Lavender Cottage sits in a small hamlet deep within the woodland setting on the outskirts of Tehidy Country Park.The cottage is personally owned and managed by myself , my husband Paul and our daughter Hannah. Paul and I have both lived most of our lives locally and know the area extremely well. We take great pride in going that extra mile to make our guests feel welcome during their stay. We are happy to help if needed ,if not we leave you to enjoy your holiday! Many of our guests are regulars and return year after year.

Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for open fire included (autumn, winter). Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Doggy extras. Enclosed lawned garden with patio, outside garden table,chairs and parasol. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.
Tehidy Country Park itself is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, providing guests with miles of paths, bridle ways and cycle trails.
Close to the north coast, and approached from the main road via a delightful half mile tree lined drive, Lavender Cottage is one of a cluster of three former estate workers cottages, sitting within the old Basset family country estate, known as Tehidy.
Tehidy Country Park can be accessed via a 500 yard path from the cottage door, where guests can wander around the 250 acres of woodland, bridle pathways and lakes, and admire the beautiful wild flowers .There is also access to miles of coastal paths. The cottage will appeal to small families looking for a place with lots to do, and equally attractive to couples looking for a relaxing location whatever the season.
South facing, the attractive front garden enjoys hours of sunshine. The lawned area offers sun late into the evening, making an idyllic, tranquil setting for alfresco dining. Over one hundred years old, Lavender Cottage, with attractive granite frontage, provides tasteful and comfortable accommodation for four guests and one well-behaved dog. This property has been renovated to a good standard whilst ensuring the cottage remains unspoilt, retaining many of its beautiful and original features.
The welcoming owners will meet all guests on arrival, and inside there will be some lovely, personal touches, including fresh flowers, wine and cream tea.
Portreath beach is just 5 minutes away by car and the coastal footpath can be accessed from the cottage, via numerous paths and trails that take you through the woods, past lakes with swans and ducks — a true haven for wildlife.
Lavender Cottage is a golf enthusiast’s paradise, leave your car and stroll directly from the cottage door to the golf course. The clubhouse with its bar and restaurant is open to non- members .Lavender cottage is the perfect location for dog owners, as there are an array of dog friendly beaches just a short drive away , as well as acres of woodland to explore.
The property provides easy access to the A30, which will allow guests to explore the delights of West Cornwall, including the ancient towns of Marazion, with St Michaels Mount, and Penzance, with its shops, art galleries and restaurants. Head east 10 miles away to the cathedral city of Truro, where there is a good selection of shops.The harbour town of Falmouth is also just over 10 miles away with the Maritime Museum and many interesting small shops and restaurants.
Alternatively, guests can stay close by and explore the rugged shoreline of the north coast, with Godrevy Lighthouse perched on its rocky out crop, pretty picturesque sandy beach and coves home to seals, dolphins and sea birds. Gwithian Towans leading to the wide sweeping beaches and sand dunes at Hayle right down the coast to the picturesque harbour and beaches of St Ives,- a true artist’s haven and home to the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum.
