A lovely lodge in a beautiful setting. Spotlessly clean with everything you would need. I have just come home after a 5 day break, this being my 6th visit. My dogs are always welcome and for those who don't have dogs you would never know dogs have been there. A good position for many places to visit. Would definitely recommend.
This was the second time we have stayed at this lodge. The accommodation is excellent. It is comfortable and well stocked. The owners were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I fully recommend this lodge if you want a lovely stay out in the countryside. We will be back… a lot!
PERFECT CHRISTMAS GETAWAY Left on Dec 28, 2022 for a stay in Dec 2022 We decided to choose this lodge for our family to spend Christmas together- it did not disappoint- we arrived to the lodge with wonderful big tree and tasteful decorations around the whole of the lodge, and a lovely box of Christmas shortbread & chocolates. The owners had gone above and beyond making our stay extra special and magical for our children, and for this we are so grateful- the place was absolutely spotless- we are not pet owners- and apart from the gorgeous art on the walls you could never tell it was pet friendly as it had been so well cleaned even though the weather was not great, the cosy fire and the rain falling on the full length windows with a spectacular view of fields and animals made it a delight to stay inside and cosy up on the comfortable furniture. Thankyou Tracey for making our Christmas one to remember- we will be back!
Left on Jul 25, 2018 for a stay in Jul 2018 2 people found this review helpful 7 Cedar Lodge was all we asked for in a holiday from the delicious scones and clotted cream which were left for us and the lovely touch of a dog biscuit for Vinnie we felt at home. The lodge is beautifully appointed with every eventuality catered for, games for the rain and comfortable garden chairs for the verandah on sunny days. We wanted for nothing in the kitchen loads of equipment, cutlery and crockery. I must also make a special mention of the decor, the paintings, prints and cushions appealed to animal lovers like us. The lodge is in a very quiet position but only 3 miles from Tavistock and on the edge of Dartmoor but in an easy enough position if you wish to range further afield. All in all a wonderful week. Left on Jul 16, 2018 for a stay in Jul 2018 This lodge is fitted out to a very high standard with ample crockery and cutlery. There is easy access to Dartmoor and Bodmin, Plymouth is a straightforward drive for larger shops. We were very lucky with the weather and had picnics on the slopes of Brentor beneath the church at sunset and sat on the decking outside of the lodge watching the Milky Way. We were also looking at the lodge as a possible holiday destination to take our disabled son and the only thing missing is a washing machine which would be handy to wash dirty clothes after a walk on wet moors. We were assured though that there was a good laundrette in Tavistock which is a 5 minute drive away. We will definitely be back.
Left on Jul 1, 2018 for a stay in Jun 2018 There's nothing amiss from this accommodation, Tracy the owner has thought of everything you could possibly need from the well stocked kitchen, the comfy bed, great showers, a relaxing lounge especially after a hard day walking, cycling or site seeing she's also added masses of information for things to do, local attractions, walks, sites of interest, cycle paths and loads more. Our little dog settled in immediately and the fresh scones with cream and jam were a welcome surprise. We loved the added soft furnishings and the home from home feel about the lodge, the views were lovely and spent evenings on the outside decking supping wine and chilling in the cooling evening breeze. Tracy has added a good selection of Dvds, books and board games to cater for all ages, overall the accommodation is first class situated in beautiful countryside.
