Description

Swingletree is a dog-friendly cottage which sits in the quiet Cotswold hamlet of Maugersbury. A five-minute walk along a tree-lined footpath leads to the dog-friendly Bell Inn on the edge of Stow-on-the-Wold. Slightly further into Stow-on-the-Wold there are specialist shops, art galleries and more excellent pubs and restaurants.

The cottage sleeps two but provides seating for four people both at the dining table and in the easy seating. The kitchen is well-equipped with fitted with oven, hob, extractor, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/drier.

The living/dining room and bedroom both feature vaulted ceilings with exposed beams. A wood-burning stove provides welcoming warmth and ambience in the living room. The bedroom is fresh and bright with a slightly-larger than standard double bed. The bathroom has a bath and separate walk-in shower.

Loungers on the west-facing patio in the private garden are perfect for summer evenings and, when the fire-pit is used, they are great in the chillier evenings too! A gate leads from the garden into the adjoining well-fenced paddock which is exclusively for Swingletree guests and their dogs to share time together.

Guests are also welcome to use the nearby hard tennis court and covered games deck with table tennis table. There are good local walks from the door and we are close to some of the great National Trails such as the Macmillan Way, Oxfordshire Way, Gloucestershire Way and Monarch’s Way.

There are wonderful local Farmers Markets and Farm Shops including Daylesford Organic. Our local Stow-on-the-Wold Tesco also has EV Charging points.
