Description
Kev and Tori welcome you to Trerice Holiday Barns, where we aim to provide a home from home experience to our guests. Set in beautiful rural surroundings in North Cornwall but only 4 miles from Newquay and all of the fabulous North Cornwall beaches including Fistral, Holywell and Crantock. We are only a couple of miles from the A30 making us ideally situated to make the most of all that this fantastic county has to offer.The Byre is a 2 bedroom (one kingsize and one twin/superking), two bathroom, semi detached, single storey barn conversion. There is only one step up to the patio from the driveway and then it is all on one level making it perfect for families with young children. It has an open plan living/kitchen/dining room with comfortable leather sofas and cosy throws and cushions. It is fully equipped with a flat screen smart TV, Digital radio/CD player and docking station as well as a large collection of books (adults and children) and board games.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need including a dishwasher, double oven, microwave and washing machine, electric induction hob and a 4 seater dining table.
Bathroom 1 has a bath with a shower over and bathroom 2 has a walk in shower with rainfall shower.
The beds are made with 100% cotton bedding and large, fluffy towels are provided for each guest.
The Byre is fully centrally heated making it great for winter breaks when Cornwall is at its rugged best.
Cot (bedding not provided) and high chair are available at no extra cost.
Outside there is a large private, enclosed patio with table, chairs and a parasol. This area is perfect for dogs and BBQs (BBQ provided) and looks out onto fields and the large garden (shared with two other properties) with swings, outside seating and garden games. There is also a large shed containing beach equipment for guests to borrow (bodyboards, windbreaks, mallets, buckets and spades). The shed is secure and can be used to store surfboards, bicycles, kayaks etc. There is a parking space allocated for The Byre.
The Byre is dog friendly and up to 2 dogs are welcome free of charge.
Short breaks are available outside of the peak season with flexible arrival days (November - April).
Changeover day is Friday May - end of October with a minimum 7 night stay.
All linens, bath and hand towels are provided at no extra cost. You only need to bring beach towels.
Central heating and electricity costs are all included in the price.
Smoking is not allowed in the property.
Deposit payable on booking is 1/3 and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival date.

By Juliet Hopkins on 19-Aug-2024We spent an amazing week here. We stayed in The Byre which was equipped with everything we needed and much more. The barn was spacious and comfortable and felt like home for the week we were there. We had access to the shed which contained games, BBQs and beach equipment, all of which could be borrowed throughout your stay which our 8 year old loved. The barn felt so peaceful and it was lovely to sit out first thing with a cup of tea or later on in the day with a cider and enjoy the surroundings. Tori and Kev (& Bonnie!) were helpful from the point of booking right through until the end of our stay. We didn’t want to come home and would definitely book again in the future. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Cornwall. Thank you again Tori and Kev - we loved our stay. Juliet, Simon and Samuel
Wow! Honestly this was a gem of a find!

Beautiful place, beautiful surroundings, peaceful and close enough to loads of staple Cornwall beaches. 10 mins ish to Newquay beaches. Hosts couldn't do enough and had a great local guide in the handbook. Welcome cookies were also a bonus. Thanks for a great stay.

We loved our stay at The Byre

Cosy and clean, and extremely dog friendly with lovely little touches such as some dog treats, blankets, towels, and bowls. Then for the humans some cosy blankets, milk in the fridge on arrival, cookies and tea/coffee. The heating works very quickly and efficiently. The place was lovely and clean. The location was peaceful and relaxing. Tori was friendly, accommodating and responsive, we could not have asked for anything more. This was our last little get away before the arrival of our first child (in 6 weeks) and we will definitely be returning with the little one ☺️ 10/10 cannot fault a thing x
