Think this is our fourth visit to Cowries. Lovely cottage, utterly spotless (shout out to the cleaners!), perfect location and good value. Also has some lovely neighbours too! And everywhere is so dog friendly Missing Cowries already!
I have stayed in Padstow every winter for the past 8 years as I love it so much, so I was a little unsure to be staying in St Merryn this time but all I can say is WOW! Location location location!!! It’s perfect!!! The house is totally awesome! It’s like staying in a 4 star hotel, only better! The fixtures and fittings are all hotel quality, same with the beds and sofas! St Merryn is beautiful, and so convenient for all the stunning bays close by, the highlight to all of this being that it’s dog friendly too so me and my pooch had a ball every day!!! I would highly recommend Cowries as a 5 star dog friendly home, that I will most certainly be staying at again!!! Thank you for my wonderful holiday @cowries we love you!!!!
We have just finished our 3rd holiday here. We go with our boys (10 and 8) and we all love it. The house it beautiful and clean and has everything we need, and Bryony is so helpful! The area is perfect for family holidays and we have already booked for next year!

The sign of an amazing holiday home is when you book your next visit before you've left the current one! Which is what we did. Stayed in May, booked for September. This was our second stay at Cowries (May 2022) and we love it. Everything you could need is provided and it is such a modern, stylish and comfortable home. The location is brilliant for some of the best bays in Cornwall on your doorstep - six out of the seven bays are dog friendly all year round, perfect! Enclosed and secure garden for our dog and parking right outside is great. Nothing is too much trouble for Bryony the owner, who is keen and happy to sort any queries and to help you have the best holiday.
Had another amazing holiday at this wonderful house It has everything you need and more and is situated so close to Padstow which we love.Wonderful walks at the Seven Bays and Barnecutts Bakery is to die for.We have one more day left and will be back for 2 weeks in October.But I also have to say a huge thank you to the owner Bryony as she is great and always looks after us.Thanks again love Suzy Kevin and Patch our Dog xxx
