The house was perfect, all the rooms were spacious, great having 3 en-suites. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. All the locations we visited were easy to reach. Highly recommend the place!
We stayed for a week in September, 6 adults, a 3 year old, 6 month old and our labrador, everyone loved the house! Real home from home, everything has been thought of, plenty of space and well maintained, even better than the photos. Anything you might need was provided, even though we took a lot of our own baby equipment there was a cot, baby bath, monitors, steraliser, changing mat, high chair etc, lots of dinnerware, glassware, kitchen equipment and a washing machine. The garden could be made fully enclosed by closed gates at both ends, great for kids and the dog. Access to the heated pool and playground at the holiday park next door was a good bonus, and the bus to/from St Ives which is 50m from the house is very handy. You can walk to St Ives in approx 30 minutes and to Carbis Bay in 45 minutes, not pram friendly walks however we took the our baby carrier so wasn't a problem. Rachel the owner was very responsive and in communication with us before and whilst there. We will definitely return here!
We have just stayed at the Old Chapel (26/09/20 to 03/09/20) and this was our fourth visit. The house is great for families and friends, having four bedrooms and 4 shower / bathrooms (3 of which are en-suite). There is parking within the rear gate for 2 cars, with space outside for at least one more and the property allows dogs. During the holiday season the house comes with access to the Polmanter touring park, which has an outdoor swimming pool and bar / restaurant, and a regular bus service to St Ives. However, we prefer to walk using the back lanes to either St Ives or alternatively Carbis Bay, subsequently walking to St Ives via the coastal path. There are also numerous taxis which cost around £5 (which is cheaper than the bus for 4+ people). As allways the house was immaculate and is well equipped with good quality fixtures and fittings and comfortable beds. Sensible additional measures were deployed to make our stay “COVID secure”. We would have no hesitation recommending the Old Chapel, or returning ourselves (as evidenced by this being our fourth stay
Just had our 5th stay at this fantastic cottage. Love coming here it really is home from home. Beautiful, location, spacious, clean and the most comfortable beds. Rachel and Simon the owners are always a pleasure to deal with, and also provide a great welcome pack. We were very lucky with the weather and will miss our daily walk in to St Ives, especially the long way via Carbis Bay. Sadly cannot return next year due to graduation taking place, will be back in 2021 to continue making wonderful memories here. Thank you for everything.
What a fantastic cottage, Rachel has literally thought of everything to cater for a family. The house is huge and so comfy. The garden is gorgeous. Unfortunately we had limited sunshine but what we did have was glorious, a perfect space to enjoy the sun. The facilities that you are allowed to use include use of the adjoining caravan site which has a pub, pool (outdoor) outdoor and indoor children’s play areas a small shop, a spa and a direct walkway to get to the path to walk down into st ives, oh and a bus to st ives. Locally is a great little pub and lots of walks (and geocaches for those that fancy it) All in all a fantastic break for me, my husband, our 1 year old and our pooch. Will definitely return.
