The cottage has a lovely bright kitchen, and open plan living room, with comfortable seating, vaulted beamed ceilings and large picture window. Sit here, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and take in the view.

There are 3 bedrooms, one with king size bed, one with twin beds, and the third with bunk beds. Ample wardrobe and drawer space. All linen and towels included.

Games and Toys

There is also a large games room with snooker, table tennis, darts and children's toys, and a pleasant, secure garden surrounded by fields.

With central heating and double glazing, the cottage is warm and comfortable to be in all year round and there are stunning sea views from the main living rooms and garden. There's always something to see - the ferry going across to Ireland (day trips available) - a buzzard hovering - the Strumble Head lighthouse flashing.

There are safe sandy beaches nearby which are never crowded, even in peak season, rock pools, interesting little coves and fishing harbours and wonderful walks. A footpath along the lane winds down to Aberfelin beach, with its ancient mill stones, and the Coastal Path, which follows some of its most spectacular scenery here. The cliffs are carpeted with flowers in spring and in early autumn there are seal pups on the beaches below.

Six miles away is the City of St Davids, a small town complete with cathedral, Bishops Palace, Lifeboat station, restaurants and interesting local shops. There's good surfing nearby, windsurfing, sailing, coasteering, fishing and pony trekking, also boat trips to island bird sanctuaries. There are historic towns and castles to explore and many friendly pubs and good eating places in the area. Pub and shop 1 mile.

Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday, with short breaks available out of season. Arrival 3.30pm Departure 10.00am.

Perfect destination with fantastic views

By Marilyn Pollard on 28-Sep-2024

We stayed for a week in this perfect cottage. It was warm, peaceful, comfortable, extremely clean and well maintained and did not lack anything that we needed. The enclosed garden and play barn were an added bonus for us and our Welsh collie. All the appliances worked and the gardener visited whilst we were there to strim all around outside. The instructions left by the owner were easy to follow and we had no problems with anything at all. The beds were very comfortable and there is off road parking on the drive. A great place to stay for lots of local things to do and see.The views from the cottage and garden were fantastic. I cannot recommend Ffynnon Ddofn enough. We have stayed in many holiday houses in Pembrokeshire and this is the best one ever! Thank you.

Lovely Cottage, amazing seaviews

By Nicola on 27-Jul-2024

The cottage has been well loved and cared for. It had everything we needed. Great for kids. Our children loved the games room and we enjoyed family games of pool, table tennis and darts. The cottage is a great base to go off and explore the beautiful coast. Great restaurants in Porthgain and St. David's. We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Thank you Bryony. Private note from Nicola Thanks for having us stay at your cottage. We had everything we needed. The view was breathtaking. Best wishes, Nicki

Our Window in Wales

By Sandra Mayer-Smith on 02-Sep-2023

Sandra M Sat, Aug 26 – Sat, Sep 2, 2023 5/5 This is the second time we have stayed at this property, it is a beautiful location with stunning views. Having two teenage girls, an elderly Mother and two small dogs, this location has something for us all. For the girls there are long coastal walks and beautiful beaches where they can play and swim. The barn is ideal for rainy days where they can play table tennis or pool…… it’s also really handy for cleaning grubby dogs! The dogs have a safe contained garden and miles of lovely walks! For my Mum, there is a large window looking out to sea which she just loves to be able to sit safely and enjoy the view. For me, coming back here to Wales always feels like coming home.
