Helpful and welcoming

By Amie W on 10-Jan-2025

We stayed at the Boathouse to visit family. The host, Katie, was very helpful and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. It's very dog friendly with no livestock, which is a massive bonus. Very warm inside and easy to heat, very quiet, and easy access to the A30. We would definitely stay again!

Tranquil Spot

By Elaine Francis on 06-Nov-2024

We grabbed three nights in The Boathouse. Perfect for us and our little cockerpoo. Well fitted out, comfortable and cosy. A truly tranquil place to escape, eat breakfast on the terrace and watch the wildlife over the water. Super hosting and one to definitely return to in the future. Thank you for having us. Trips out to Wheal Coates and hedgehog ice creams at Chapel Porth are recommended!

We keep coming back!

By Jo Oakley on 05-Sep-2024

The Boathouse is the perfect escape. We return time and time again for the peace and tranquility. There is something about sitting watching the kingfisher fly across the lake and listening to the sounds of wildlife that is soothing to the soul. Each visit we have been lucky and spotted the kingfisher daily, fishing in the lake, as well as a whole host of birds. There is plenty of wildlife to spot and it is the ideal location for a wildlife photographer or avid bird watcher. When it rains I recommend settling on the recliner chairs with a cup of tea, the blankets and just watch the rain on the lake and the cows sauntering in the field behind or read a good book. The bathroom in the Boathouse has a decent power shower and the kitchen area is fine for cooking if you don’t fancy a meal out. The bed is comfy and there’s plenty of pillows and blankets. It’s warm and cosy and surprisingly spacious. Perranporth beach is a twenty minute car journey away with golden sands, easy parking and the most stunning sunsets. We always have the perfect relaxing break at the Boathouse and hope to be back again soon!

Wonderful Stay

By Joanne Lewington on 30-Aug-2024

We had a wonderful stay at the boathouse. It is well equipt, and in a lovely location on the edge of a lake/pond. It is incredibly peaceful and beautiful, and a wonderful place to relax and watch nature... (there were many birds, including swallows, butterflies, dragonflies and other wildlife.) The location is excellent for exploring the surrounding area and we enjoyed taking the boat from Malpas to Falmouth for the first time - thank you for the recommendation! Katie was lovely and very accommodating and we were happily able to purchase some food from their small holding. We hope to visit again for longer! Thank you very much!

Incredible Experience

By Franike Briant on 23-Jan-2024

Myself and my boyfriend had an incredible experience staying at the boat house! The serene water views and cozy atmosphere made it a perfect retreat. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities truly exceeded my expectations. The welcoming host added a personal touch to my stay, taking me on beautiful countryside walks and showing me around the local area, making it a memorable and enjoyable getaway. What''s more, the reasonable price made this unique accommodation an excellent value for a peaceful and charming escape. Highly recommend and we will most definitely be returning! xxx
