Description

Stable & Garden Cottages both have one huge luxury bedroom accommodation with a Super King-size Hypnos bed, which can be split into two singles on request. They have stunning views over the Hampshire countryside. The bathrooms have a huge walk-in shower, bath and toilet. Both cottages are on one level, for easy access, with a fully fitted kitchen and open plan living area. The kitchen comes with an electric oven and halogen hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. The living area has Freeview TV, DVD player, USB charging ports and for those cold nights a wood burner to cosy up by on a luxury leather sofa or chair. A lovely quiet area but within walking distance of The White Lion pub which provides great food. Great locals walks along a disused railway, the South Downs Way and numerous footpaths. Also within short distances to National Trust Properties and fabulous gardens to visit. We are in the South Downs National Park and close to Winchester, Portsmouth and Southampton.

Excellent property in a quiet rural location

By Karen Williams on 27-Jun-2024

I can’t find fault with this property which was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, well-equipped and comfortable, with a large bedroom and bath / shower room. There is ample parking, an enclosed outdoor seating area to each property overlooking the field and countryside, and a beautiful walled garden that residents can enjoy. At the back of the property is a communal courtyard with out-buildings and a laundry room. Soberton is well-placed for travelling around the Hampshire countryside. There is a good pub about a 300 m walk away along the quiet Station Road, the White Lion, that serves food 7 days a week. There is no shop in the village, the nearest convenience store and petrol station, the Premier Express, being 1.25 miles (2 km) away and probably best reached by car as part of the walk is along a busy road without a pavement. Be aware that this is a dog-friendly venue though the dogs there were well-behaved. We would definitely stay here again.

Delightful Cottage

By Jill Hope on 21-Mar-2024

We stayed here during March, the weather was typically British so we endured a little snow, wind, rain and quite cold temperatures. However, we were comfortable in Stable cottage where it was warm and very cosy. All home comforts were available and a wood burning stove was a bonus for us. We would definitely recommend staying here and I''m sure that we will return and bring our bikes to use on the local trail. thank you Gill for your attention to detail and help in guiding us to find things to do during our visit.
