Stunning views, lovely house.

By Bryan Shaw on 01-Sep-2024

It's a bit like staying in a boutique hotel but you have to do your own cooking, but with a well-equipped kitchen, outdoor kitchen and bbq, that wasn't hardship. We made good use of the pool, garden, courtyard and paddock, played table tennis and it even has its own boule court! Can't wait to come back.

Heaven !!

By The Walton Family on 04-Aug-2024

This was our 3rd visit and it didn't disappoint, the house and grounds are well equipped and as for the setting, the views are incredible. The pool is fantastic and it is so peaceful. The location is perfect, with all amenities a short drive away, we never stray too far and love being there, we can't wait for our next visit. Thank you !!

A beautiful home in a fantastic location

By Sophie W on 21-Jul-2024

L’Ancienne L’ecole, is a beautiful house with amazing grounds and a fantastic pool. The photos do not do it justice! The house’s location is ideal to visit so many places for the day. Cannot wait to hopefully return one day!

Truly spectacular, clean and very welcoming

By Tom Marshall on 06-Jul-2024

A very romantic coverted old school house, done to an excellent standard from top to bottom. We had such a wonderful stay right from the start - greeted with a local complementary wine...that was truly excellent and thoroughly enjoyed! Very good sized pool that is well maintained. Large grounds with games to play for our daughter. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in one of the most beautiful parts of France.

Happiness in an old school French village

By Jonathan Glover on 30-Sep-2023

Just like the France of my young days; a meandering lane off the main street leads to the old school house, thoughtfully resurrected and recovered from the inky days of someone else's childhood. The courtyard is shady cool for breakfast coffee, and then evening drinks idly contemplating endless views of the fields and sloping Occitan hills. Funny the French don't mention this region much - maybe the same way they keep the best wine and cheese for themselves . . . But I digress; the pool is devilishly tempting and we don't resist, while the house is solid, welcoming and with only the merest echoes of chalk dust in the air. I imagine the long gone urchins looking down at me in their ancienne ecole, wide eyed and incredulous - and I smile. Nous reviendrons

So tranquil, so comfortable

By Bryan Shaw on 10-Sep-2023

The old school feels like a home from home, not just a holiday gite. It is very well equipped inside with a good kitchen, English TV and loads of books, and outside with a great pool and an eating patio with outstanding views and an under cover area for when (if) it rains. Peace and quiet on tap. Loved it.
