Description
Chandler’s cottage is a cosy and comfortable base for exploring Sidmouth and East Devon. The cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms - a double and a twin.Leave your car in the private parking space and take a leisurely 10 to 15 minute stroll through the tree-lined riverside park into Sidmouth town centre. Here you’ll find a mix of independant local shops, cafes and restaurants. Walk along the seafront for a breath of fresh sea air and views along the distinctive red cliffs of the Jurassic Coast. Try beachcombing on the pebble and sandy beaches or spot sea creatures in the rock pools at low tide.
When you've finished exploring you can prepare a meal in the well equipped kitchen or eat out at our local pub, just a 5 minute walk away. Then curl up and unwind in front of the log burner. Our comfortable beds will give you a good night's sleep so you wake up refreshed and ready for cliff-top and woodland walks or a drive along country lanes to discover the neighbouring villages or explore the Jurassic Coast.

Jo, our host, went over and aboard to make sure everything was hunky dory. We loved the cottage, everything we needed was included. Sidmouth is delightful, the centre and seafront, a lovely 10 minute walk through The Byes. Thank you Jo, we hope to return.

By Mark J on 22-Oct-2023This is superb house, which has been lovingly decorated and equipped to a high standard It''s in a good location, just 2 mins to a walk down to the sea. Sidmouth is a nice seaside town, with good facilities.
Very comfortable cottage
By Kenneth & Gail H on 28-Sep-2023Perfectly situated adjacent to The Byes, Chandlers Cottage is in the ideal location for visiting Sidmouth and East Devon. Pleasant walks from the cottage, good bus services and easy access to shops etc. The cottage itself is fully equipped, cosy and comfortable. We have no doubts that we will return in future.

A fantastic peaceful cottage

Everything is so well organised in the cottage with clear instructions. Its also lovely to sit in the garden with views of the hills. Thank you very much, we would definitely return again.
A perfect stay in Sidmouth
By Nicola R on 12-Aug-2022The cottage was a perfect stay in Sidmouth. It was about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the centre and sea front either footpath along the road or along the edge of the river. The cottage was in a peaceful location, with a long garden for quiet meals or moments. It was well stocked with equipment for the stay such as a dishwasher, washing line, items to preparing meals and books to read. We had a lovely basket full of goodies and even supplied us with lactose free milk. Jo’s communication was outstanding and answered questions professionally and with kindness. Thank you so much.
