Perfect home from home very well cared for, clean and well equipped. Beautiful garden. Situated in a perfect spot for walks in the Byes and to the town and seafront. Good base for exploring the area. Beer, Seaton and the Zoo at Paignton is fabulous, clean and all the animals so well cared for. Many good garden centres in the area. Thank you for your lovely cottage.
This was our first stay in Sidmouth and at Button Cottage and we loved it. The beautiful, well equipped cottage, the walks through the Byes to the seafront, the town itself. We liked the beach, to hike the South West Coastal Path either in Eastern and Western direction, the Donkey Sanctuary and Connaught Gardens. We had great food at 'the Courtyard' (Sunday roast), a relaxed cream tea at Sellys, returned multiple times to the cafe at the Clocktower and enjoyed a superb seafood dinner at Neils. Bonus 1: picking ripe apples and pears right from the garden at Button Cottage Bonus 2: Sidmouth Carnival Procession The communication with Jacqueline was very pleasant. We found the cottage ideally situated in Sid Park Road which led directly to the Byes. A lovely relaxing walk which follows the course of the river by way of a tree lined path, on its journey to the sea. The river is unspoilt and runs clear, and we became aware of the beauty of God’s Creation. Button Cottage is cosy, bright, comfortable and lacks nothing in facilities. We thought the garden at the rear was enchanting, and well worth a visit.

This was our second stay at Button Cottage in Sidmouth, the cottage itself is so comfortable and is well equipped for a great holiday, an added bonus is it's location with local bus stops close by and we made use of these regularly, for trips to Exmouth, Exeter, Honiton, Budleigh Salterton etc. It's just a 15 minute walk to Sidmouth town centre from the cottage via the wonderful Byes, a lovely walk alongside the River Sid with plenty of benches to rest if needed along the brilliant tarmacked paths and cycle tracks.

A comfortable, well-equipped cottage with a perfect spot to walk the Byes into town - a safe, beautiful riverside walk. If, like us, you don't mind driving around to see places, we visited Lyme Regis, Salcombe, Lulworth Cove, Beer, Slapton sands and Blackpool Sands. There are plenty of places to get some take-away food and for meals, we ate at the Volunteer (on the main road), Swan Inn (on the outskirts of town via the Byes) and Dukes (in town). We captured a beautiful sunrise at Budleigh Salterton and if you like your coffee & croissant we loved 'The Cornish Bakery' in town. thank you for the loan of the cool bag which we used regularly to take our picnics out! A wonderful place and a great holiday - thank you!
