Description
The Snug at Caphays is a cosy, studio retreat at the peaceful end of a no through lane. Amid beautiful fields & woodland, it makes the perfect romantic stay for couples and a wonderful base for young families too.
Relax and soak up the atmosphere, explore the countryside, visit the coast and enjoy Sherborne and its history. Private driveway parking, al fresco seating and dining space, a beautiful ensuite with fluffy towels and decadent products and a kitchenette and sunsets to die for - it’s everything you hope for.
The kitchenette provides everything you need (including a small fridge, portable hob, toaster and kettle) to enjoy a simple supper or decadent breakfast!
Luxuriate in the super comfy king size bed dressed in 100% cotton sheets. There's no foot on the bed, making it ideal for taller guests. The king size, entirely flat sofa bed means The Snug is ideal for young families too.
Indulge in the monsoon shower with huge fluffy bath towels and complimentary shower products, including gorgeous aromatherapy spa steamers, making your stay extra special. Locally made soap and your own slippers complete the ensuite.
Outside, take some time to relax in your private al fresco dining area, lit with twinkly lights in the evening and perfect for romantic moments. Enjoy morning coffees in the birdsong, a glass of chilled wine as the sunsets and hot chocolate under the stars.
Should you need it, the superfast fibre broadband makes working easy. Underfloor heating and a monsoon shower make it the perfect winter retreat, while the summer wildlife (bats, owls, deer, hares, foxes and more) and sunsets are second to none!
Your private driveway parking (with EV charger) is immediately outside The Snug: enjoy ‘lugging- free’ arrival and departure and just one step up into The Snug itself. It's ideal for those with limited mobility.
We take our impact on the environment seriously, and you will notice complimentary eco-minded products throughout as well as our heat pump heating and hot water.
At the end of the drive are footpaths in three directions and we have written walks taking you to the bakery, the cafe, the pub and more. There's also secure bike storage and a spot to charge your E-bikes too.
We will send you a guidebook with all of the details about the accommodation as well as lots of local tips, including events to look out for and seasonal change in our natural surroundings. We are very, very proud of our little corner of Dorset, so please do ask!
