A half term break in Shanklin. My family and I have now stayed at Honeysuckle Cottage on two occasions. We have three small grandchildren and the cottage is absolutely ideal. Not only is it in a a very quiet, year convenient, location, but it is one of the best equipped places we have visited, as well as amazing va;ue for money. The kids loved all the toys and particularly the little cubby house, in the spacious garden. The adults enjoyed the very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and excellent bathroom facilities. The welcome bottle of bubbly was appreciated, too! We have actually spent several years in the hospitality business but I don't think there's anything that we would change and we can whole-heartedly recommend this establishment.

Lovely accommodation in a great location. Shanklin old village is beautiful and Jasmine cottage was within a short walking distance to all the shops, Shanklin Chine, cafes and beach. The cottage catered well for our needs and was great for our 2 year old, family friendly and a fantastic garden with play houses and equipment. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had most of what we needed. Thank you for the welcome pack and wine, much appreciated. Could have done with a few more coffee sachets though, as I'm a tired mummy!! Overall a great stay despite a mixed bag of weather. Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.
Another lovely stay at Chestnut Mews This was our 5th visit to Chestnut Mews and we had another fantastic holiday. The cottage was clean, very comfortable and the newly refurbished bathrooms were a great addition. The cottages are in an excellent location with Shanklin Old Village just a very short walk away. The garden is beautiful and we saw so many red squirrels this year, which was a real treat. Communication with the cottage owners was very straightforward and responsive. I’m sure we’ll be back again.
Delightful stay This is our second year staying at Clematis Cottage and we are more than happy with the accommodation. The cottage is cosy, clean and very spacious and has everything you need. It is only a short distance away from the old Shanklin village, beach and a large park which is ideal for children. We more than recommend Clematis Cottage run by Chestnut Mews.
We spent a lovely week at Clematis cottage in the beginning of July 2024. We had a wonderful stay in this well-appointed cottage! We loved the house and surroundings, as well as the island in general. It felt nice having a comfy place to retire to after being on outings all day. The place big enough for our family of five to find it comfortable. It was lovely having a master bedroom with an en-suite. High level of cleanliness, comfortable common areas and a nice patio. The cottage is situated close to bus stops and restaurants, which was perfect for us as we got around the island by bus. Peter and Mandy have been great hosts; our communication leading up to the trip was pleasant and helpful. We were then greeted by a welcome-basket as well as a bottle of chilled prosecco upon our arrival, which was were nice. I highly recommend renting this place! We will cherish our memories from this trip.
