A beautiful cottage in a very good position, the cottage is well equipped & beautifully furnished. Every thing you could possibly want & more has been thought of, Linda & David completely spoiled us with cakes, crisps, sweets, plus a beautiful choice of savoury items, & biscuits for our dog, who could not be happy with that ! We both agreed it’s the best cottage we have rented for holidays & we do that twice a year all over the UK. The only tiny thing that was annoying more than anything as we go away for the peace & quiet, was the cottage next door Byre cottage had a dog staying there that barked day & night which was very aggravating. I did ask if they could stop it & it was ignored. We don’t allow our dog to behave like that so it is frustrating.
This property is always clean and well maintained. The welcome basket is always a treat for visitors and there pets. Nicely positioned just outside Shanklin in a quiet area with possibly the best all year dog beach on the island a short drive away just the otherside of Sandown. Always my first choice if avaliable. 6 a short drive away

2023 is Our third Christmas at this Delightful Dairymaid cottage With a warm welcome with lights inside and out, Stunning welcome package Full of goodies to eat and drink and a beautiful Christmas tree. Linda never disappoints to make the guest feel special. Fabulous walks and wildlife Galore and including visits from red squirrels, Tastefully decorated And clean, A lovely home from home With everything you need for a great holiday. Excellent value,
Had a lovely week in this absolutely beautiful cottage, it is in a great quiet location and truly amazing. It is spotlessly clean, very well equipped, spacious, warm and very comfortable. Lovely garden with plenty of seating areas to sit watching the birds and lit up at night makes it even more magical. The welcome pack so full of food, cakes, goodies, wine and more all enjoyed for sure, thank you so much. Weather was hit and miss but thoroughly enjoyed visiting different areas missing the rain even having picnics before returning to the cottage. We would have liked to use the log fire which looks so lovely with the surrounding lights on the fireplace, but it was too warm unfortunately. Dairy Maid Cottage is truly wonderful and is the best we have stayed in and we will be returning for sure, and recommending to family and friends. Linda the owner is lovely and makes sure everything is ok during your stay. Thank you again
Our second stay at this beautiful cottage. Blessed by warm weather which allowed us to explore the local countryside - right on your doorstep! Still left plenty of time to relax in the beautiful garden. Thank you so much for the welcome hamper - much appreciated. This cottage really does have it all! We’ve already booked for a return visit in November
