Shaftesbury is a small Saxon hilltop town, well known for 'Gold Hill' as in the Hovis advert. There are stunning rural views over Blackmore Vale from Abbey Walk and many scenic walks nearby. The Jurassic coast, Longleat Safari Park, Salisbury, Bath, Monkey World are all within an hours drive.
