My family and I stayed at Swallow Barn for New Year and had a fantastic week together. We found the property very homely and clean with everything we needed. We enjoyed having fires in the log burner whilst playing games and having some quality time. The property is ideally located with wonderful views and is only a short drive to several large supermarkets. Our dog also had the pleasure of being at the property with us and enjoyed his holiday in large garden which was secure for him to play. We enjoyed days out on a boat at Lake Windermere and a hike at Helvellyn which had breathtaking views, well worth a visit! We are a family who have travelled and hired various properties in various countries over the years and we found Swallow Barn to be one of the best. Thank you Ahmad and Andrea for letting us have the opportunity of staying and being fantastic from initial booking right through to the end of our stay. Had 6 nights at Swallow Barn recently. A wonderful cottage, ideally placed for exploring the lakes or the dales. The cottage is ideal for families or couples who want a bit of extra space. The welcome gift was a nice touch. The cottage is clean, comfortable and pleasantly furnished. The kitchen has all you need to cater for yourself or Kendal is a very short drive if you prefer eating out.
The barn was in great location, easy to find, quiet and within 5 minutes of Kendal. Spacious for just the 2 of us, the kitchen had everything we needed and the bedrooms were comfortable. We visited lots of National Trust properties within a 30 mile radius and enjoyed the stunning scenery. A great time, we would recommend. Chris and Pat
