Description

Come and enjoy a stay at ‘FLINT COTTAGE’ - a charming Georgian Holiday Cottage in Saxmundham - and be close to the unspoiled Suffolk Heritage Coast with the many attractions, pretty villages, seaside towns and much more to visit and explore.

FLINT COTTAGE is ideally suited to couples, or friends holidaying together - or for one couple who want a bit more space. Perfect for Hobby Breaks, Walking or Golfing trips, or relaxing holidays enjoying sightseeing in the region.

FLINT COTTAGE is single-storey, with no stairs or steps, and all accommodation is on the ground floor.
The cottage is deceptively spacious, with its separate living room, kitchen, and dining room.

FLINT COTTAGE has been recently refurbished throughout to provide for modern comforts and conveniences, and Rated 4-Star Gold by Visit England.

The Master bedroom can be arranged as either a Kingsize double or as a Twin bedded room (with two 2’6 single beds), according to guest’s’ preference - creating more flexibility.

Outside space
Flint Cottage has a small front garden surrounded by a distinctive white picket-fence, and it’s own pretty courtyard garden at the back - for al fresco lunches or lazy mornings with coffee and newspapers.

Saxmundham is an historic market-town on the old Coaching Route from London, and the Holiday Cottages are just 5 mins walk from the High Street, so you’ll never be far from what you need - it has shops, cafes, restaurants, the Railway Station, EV Charging Points and a Waitrose supermarket.

The town is the hub of the region and provides an ideal touring base from which to explore Suffolk and beyond. It’s in the perfect location to visit all the attractions of this fabulous Coastal Region. You’ll be just 4 miles from Snape Maltings, 8 miles from the seaside town of Aldeburgh, and within a 30 min drive of Southwold, Walberswick, Framlingham, Woodbridge, Orford and many other popular attractions.
Sutton Hoo, RSPB Minsmere, AONB Dunwich Heath, National Trust Country Houses and English Heritage castles are nearby too.

Public Transport include bus routes and Train services to many places of interest, and local Taxi Services are very reasonably-priced.

Cosy cottage, all mod cons, in great area!

Flint cottage is just gorgeous. From the moment we walked in the front door we felt we had escaped into a cosy retreat and didn’t want to leave! Bed was very comfortable and we slept incredibly well every night. Kitchen / Dining We were very surprised at how well equip the kitchen is and how much space there is for preparing meals and cooking. Everything has been thought of from utensils, pots/pans/trays, chopping boards etc. There is a nice coffee machine which we used every morning, The dining room is off the far end of the kitchen and is a lovely bright space with giant skylight window above the table. Bathroom It’s so cute! It’s very cleverly designed to make use of the space. It looks new and was very clean. It has a decent size bath and a shower with top rain head but also a switchable standard shower head with hose that can be angled forward or removed and used in hand. Honestly one of the best showers I’ve ever had, powerful and full coverage! We loved this trip and will definitely be coming back, hopefully for a bit longer next time!

Wish I could have stayed longer

Returned for a short break after a hectic time at work. Has been given a slight face lift since my last stay - modern, bright and impeccably clean throughout but still in keeping with the original cottage. Lovely new modern kitchen and bathroom, fully equipped with all mod cons - a real home from home feel. Bedrooms super comfortable and have been very tastefully redecorated. As before, local pubs, restaurants, take-aways and supermarkets in easy walking distance so everything feels very convenient. Only stayed one week, but so peaceful and relaxing I wished I could have stayed longer.
