Nestled in the idyllic setting of Rowen near Conwy, North Wales, is this grand five-bedroom, detached house, Y Gorlan.
Formerly the 19th-century village vicarage, Y Gorlan has been extensively refurbished to perfectly combine contemporary and traditional elements, as well as enjoying a fantastic location within the Snowdonia National Park, just moments away from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Conwy, making it a superb family-friendly dwelling for a group or family of 10.
The property has previously been awarded five stars by Visit Wales and Visit Wales Cyclists and Walkers Welcome Award.
Be welcomed into the tastefully decorated sitting room, where you can sink back into the reclining sofas in front of the Sky TV with access to movies, Sports, as the wood burning stove crackles nearby, or retire to the additional garden sitting room, where you will find further plush seating, SKY glass TV and amazing views of The Carneddau mountain range behind Rowen.
The chef of the group will have found their haven in the beautiful and fully equipped kitchen, by French designer, Mobalpa, where they will have all they need to create culinary delights, ready to serve at the large solid oak dining table with seating for 10.
On warmer days, why not head out to the enclosed gardens where you can fire up the barbecue for alfresco dining and play lawn games with the little ones.
Completing the ground floor is the garden bedroom, with queen size bed and en-suite bathroom. There is also access to a cloakroom.
Continue upstairs to find the remaining four-bedrooms, two king-size and two double size, each with their own en-suite shower room, hairdryers, and fans.
Adjacent to your new home from home is the welcoming Ty Gwyn, where you can treat your loved ones to a well-deserved meal and sample the local ales.

For further local amenities and attractions, take the short drive over to Conwy, where you will find the magnificent Conwy Castle, The Smallest House In Great Britain, Plas Mawr, the historic town walls and the popular Mulberry which serves fresh seafood and overlooks the River Conwy.

A beautiful house in a wonderful location

By Angela on 28-Feb-2026

A beautiful house in a wonderful location. Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Loved the "Garden Room" with fantastic views of the lovely garden and surrounding hills (which were snow-capped when we arrived). A fantastic home from home and a great place to stay. The downstairs master bedroom with luxury ensuite was perfect for the less mobile and our dogs loved playing in the very large garden. Having a pub serving excellent food on the doorstep was a real bonus. We all had a wonderful week together.

New Year stay

By Edouard on 04-Jan-2026

Such a great location, house was very cosy and decorated for Christmas! Enough space for family of 7 and lots of board games, DVDs and books to keep entertained when at home. Snowdonia was breathtaking and lots of great walks and small towns nearby. Definitely recommend the house, the hospitable hosts and location! 10/10. Thank you both x

Cannot express our gratitude enough to Annette and Peter for making our Xmas so special. From helping source our Xmas lunch to putting up decorations, nothing has been too much trouble. The house is perfect for big family breakfasts, cosy movie nights and comfortable nights asleep. Highly recommend.

Just perfect

By Gillian E. on 15-Oct-2019

We were a party of six adults and two young children celebrating a 70th birthday at Y Gorlan. It was just perfect. The house was very clean, extremely well equipped with a wide range of good quality pots, pans and crockery as well as toiletries and larder items. It is situated in a lovely village close to Conwy and the railway station at Llandudno Junction. The extras like tea bags and dishwasher tablets were much appreciated and we certainly enjoyed the prosecco! We got the impression that the owners really wanted us to be comfortable and enjoy ourselves. Communication was faultless and the Handbook has to be one of the most comprehensive I have ever seen. Thank you very much Annette and Peter.
