Provencal Family Farmhouse with private pool set in 5 acres of grounds between Cotignac and Barjols.
Located in a beautiful wide valley, La Tuiliere is a typical provencal farmhouse. With its exposed stone & roughly plastered walls, terracotta tiled flooring, wooden beams & original fireplaces we welcome you into a comfortably furnished & generously equipped 200 year old farmhouse where we aim to provide a friendly and relaxed environment where you feel comfortably at home.

New to Simply Owners but not new to hosting! I have been hosting since 2009.

The Farmhouse:
The ground floor (@70 sq m) comprises one long through kitchen, dining and lounge area. The kitchen was completely refurbished a few years ago with new appliances (electric oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave), deep ceramic sink and wooden worktops, all in keeping with the age and style of La Tuiliere. Likewise the solid wooden central dining table (seating 8) has seen generations of families and friends gather round to share meals, conversation and games. French windows open directly onto the shaded terrace. A wood burner is installed in the old chimney breast at the lounge end and can be used on cooler early spring or late summer evenings.

Upstairs are 3 spacious bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people. We also provide a cot (and highchair) for any infants. The vast master bedroom (formally a barn) is a particular feature, reaching an impressive 7m in height with exposed wooden beams and a large stone fireplace. All the bedrooms have wardrobes or hanging rails, chests of drawers, bedside tables, bedside lights and room fans. 2 bathrooms give privacy and avoid queues! One of these bathrooms is situated between the twin and second double bedroom.

Back downstairs and opening directly from the french windows you step onto the terrace with a built-in BBQ and sturdy marble topped external table for all your outdoor meals. Both the terrace and adjacent area fronting the property are shaded by mature lime, cherry and plane trees providing welcome shade during the hot summer months. A hammock swings between two of them.

External flood lighting to both the houses and in the trees enable you to enjoy a leisurely meal outside as the sun goes down. Ideally suited for families, we also provide games and play equipment to occupy those with the most energy!

The Pool:
A separate sun terrace holds the private swimming pool (12m x 6m) which is alarmed and receives the sun from 7.30 in the morning until 9.00 in the evening. Pool furniture, sun loungers and deckchairs are of course provided.

The Grounds.
Set in 5 acres of grassy meadows with mature trees providing welcome shade during the heat of the day and wooded areas for older children to explore, make camps and play in, our property has plenty of outdoor space for you to relax in.

Provencal summers are lived outside and the terrace to the front of the property has a traditional built in BBQ for all your outdoor cooking. In the garage you will also find bikes, table tennis table, table football, dart board, rackets, bats, balls and other games and play equipment for your use.

Olive Terrace:
The Olive Terrace
In 2015 we took the opportunity to buy an Olive terrace a short walk from the centre of our village of Ponteves, so are now novice 'oleiculteurs', producing our own olive oil. It is on a marked circular path with a little ancient 'cabane' and you would be welcome to visit and bring a picnic.
