We spent our Christmas in Joanna''''s house which was lovely and warm when we arrived. Very comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped indeed. Although we didn''''t use it because of the weather and it being December, the garden looks wonderful with a large patio to the front and back. Communication with Joanna was effortless and we would love to come back sometime. Kind regards, Igmar, Liza and Oona
Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy Fabulous cottage in excellent location My family & I had 4 very enjoyable weeks staying in beautiful Ashfield Cottage. The location was perfect for us - close to family & easy walking distance into Crickhowell town centre. We had wonderful weather & enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden enjoying the Spring sunshine. Would recommend Ashfield Cottage to anyone visiting that area of South Wales. Joanna is a gracious & wonderful host, very easy to communicate with & quick in her responses.
I was very lucky - looking for somewhere within easy reach of Bristol so my son and his family could join us for a long weekend during our week''s holiday, I looked westwards into Wales from Bristol. I rejected some places and properties then, - ''serendipity'' - I found Ashfield Cottage and Crickhowell. The house was perfect for us - we all loved its character, excellent and comfortable facilities, glorious garden and views, and the different ''rooms'' where we could relax separately or enjoy meals or playing ''Dobble'' together. Crickhowell''s excellent shops, places to eat, river and canal are a very short walk away. We didn''t use the car for 4 days. We did 2 longer walks( up Table Mt. - wonderful panoramic views), and along the Usk, through the Glanusk estate and back along the canal. There was so much we could have done but we need and want to go back again.
