Thank you Peter and Edina for a wonderful stay in your little Paradise. You were excellent hosts, always at hand if we needed you, but very unobtrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a great stay, we slept very wellin comfortable beds and are leaving totally de-stressed and looking forward to when we will be able to return. We loved the peace and tranquility and the sound of ... nothing! The pool was very welcome to cool off and enjoyed wandering around the gardens, sitting and watching the coypus. All the very best with your new venture but we will be back.
So pleased to have been able to visit this beautiful gite again and it didn't disappoint. Thank you Peter and Edina for the lovely and generouos welcome pack - there was plenty for all of us to enjoy. We loved exploring the local area again. The highlight of the week was the Vallée des Signes - perfect for adults and 2 years olds alike. La Rochefaucould remains a favourite, especially the meal at Chez Steph- the desserts are amazing. To be afforded the privilege of seeing the coypu so closely - especially the 2 babies was very special, none of us could keep away. We were lucky enough to have had the weather to use the pool every day - it was a great way to cool down. Once again, a fabulous place to spend a holiday. Thank you.
Thank you Peter and Edina for a glorious two weeks at Le Grand Moulin. We have been lucky enough to have had hot weather every day and have made much use of the pool as well as playing 'Boulé', badminton, table tennis, and enjoyed the grounds. We have loved seeing the coypu and the lizards - very cute. We have enjoyed visiting the beautiful Verteuil (drinks at Cafe Portebleu and La Sénéchalerie), and Ruffec market (Saturday mornings). We really enjoyed our day day at La Rochefoucauld and visited the chateau there. Lots of nice cafés and bistros for lunch. Also wortha visit to Angouléme (much bigger than Ruffec) for a look around the shops, lunch, etc. Thanks for lending us the bikes too and for all your attentive care , much appreciated. We will be back!
We had a beautiful week in this lovely gite, relaxing by the pool and in the gorgeous gardens. We saw pretty dragonflies, and lizards (and coypu) and enjoyed exploring the local area by bikes provided by the owners. The house had everything we could possibly need and was a lovely space to be in. Big thank you for the wonderful hosts, we will look back very gladly on our week.
We had a wonderful two weeks, do not want to go home. The coypus were a fabulous watch. Saw a red squirrel and got very close to a grass snake. Peter and Edina are excellent hosts and assisted us a few times. Will recommend highly. Thank you and look forward to return.
Edina and Peter are excellent hosts. The gite was perfect and had everything we needed. A very relaxing stay in a wonderful location with plenty of places to visit near and further away. We loved the privacy of the pool and the wonderful garden. We will recommend this wonderful destination to friends and family.
