By Shiela P on 01-Mar-2023We had a lovely 3 nights at the lodge. We took along 3 dogs. We all had a great time. Plenty of room for 9 of us. Lots of great walks. Would thoroughly recommend this place for a relaxing break. The host was lovely, welcoming and very helpful.
What a fantastic place to stay
By Ian R on 06-Aug-2022What a fantastic place to stay Fantastic rooms, excellent ensuite facilities, lovely walks, clean quiet beaches, accommodation was excellent, shower to die for in the ensuite, friendly hosts, fantastic wildlife, the farm animals so well cared for, seeing the calves with their mums free grazing the farmland was lovely and seeing them all on the beach was a first for us! the views across to Ireland were amazing and ever changing, the lighthouse just down the coastline is well worth a visit and the walk from there to port patrick was beautiful, hard going in places but well worth the effort. 12 of us stayed and we had a brilliant week. lan & kari
Galdenoch-a special place
By DocMarshall on 31-Jul-2021If you are looking for somewhere for a family holiday with children and grandchildren and are interested in fauna, flora, farming, landscapes and the sea, Galdenoch Castle Lodge is the place for you. We had a wonderful week there with our sons, daughter-in-laws and their young families and Frankie the dog. Lochside barbecues, beautiful beaches, sandcastles, kite-flying, sea kayaking, rock climbing, running, swimming and local top class eating provided something special for all ages. Our hosts on the farm were equally good. Thank you!
Beautiful house, brilliant location
By Lewis B on 20-Sep-2020Very well equipped characterful house in lovely rural location with great walks from the doorstep. It was ideal for my mum, who has limited mobility, since several bedrooms, dining areas and lounge are all on the ground floor. Rosemary couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The weather was kind and all in all we had a brilliant week.
A true gem
By Tara on 02-Sep-2020If you are looking for pure relaxation, Galdenoch Castle Lodge is a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of life. My family and our 2 dogs spent 3 nights at the lodge and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, even the children begged to stay longer. The lodge itself has a very cozy feel. Lovely wood stove in the dinning room, super comfy beds and amazing showers! On top of the lodge being wonderful, the property, views and walks were just amazing! Rosemary is a very helpful, attentive host. We absolutely will be rebooking in the not too distant future.
