The Retreat is a lovely secluded glamping spot in our 4 acre field with stunning countryside and sea vie
In March & April, and from early September to end of October we offer accommodation for 2 in our off grid converted shipping container, which has an indoor kitchen/diner with gas stove, a king sized double bedroom, & an adjacent gas fired hot shower and compost loo. Lighting is by oil lamps, battery powered lights and candles.
In May, June, July and August we add a 6 metre canvas bell tent as a second bedroom/living space, with a comfortable double bed with colourful rugs and cosy bedding and a seating area, so for those months the site will accommodate upto 4 (5 by prior arrangement).....or be wonderfully spacious for 2!!
There's a fire pit to cook on or while away the evenings by, as well as an indoor gas stove when the weather's not so good. There are plenty of cooking and eating utensils & hot water to wash up with; all you need for outdoor or indoor self-catering. There is a fridge for your use near where you park, only about 50 metres from the Retreat.
Mobile phones can be charged from an outdoor plug, 50 metres from the tent. Please note that there is good mobile phone & 4G reception at the site, but no Wi-fi.
Claire offers on site art classes and can arrange on site massage too.
The property is within 25 minute's walk of 3 gorgeous, unspoilt coves; Nanjizal, Porthgwarra and Porthchapel, and is easily accessible by footpath from the door to the most stunning section of the South West Coastal path. We are also very close to the Minack Theatre, Porthcurno, Sennen Cove and Lands End, and a perfect base for walking, surfing, climbing, bird-watching, exploring ancient sites, sea swimming or simply having a well-earned rest!
