Definitely a house to want to return to.

By Anne Thomas on 03-Dec-2020

Five of us (4 adults and one 3 year old, plus a dog ) had a lovely mid-October week at The Malthouse. It is a most excellent holiday home, really comfortably furnished (including a bottle of wine in the fridge and flowers on the table when we arrived), very cosy and equipped with everything one could need; the completely enclosed garden is ideally safe for small children and a dog, and there is parking for 2 larger cars on the property. The Malthouse is in a quiet lane and a perfect position for exploring the beaches and coastal path between Newquay and Padstow; Porthcovan beach (one of the nicest) is about a mile away – too far for small children to walk to but a pleasant walk otherwise down a small lane at the start and then along a footpath (one steep bit). Covid restrictions prevented other family coming too, but hopefully will be able to join us on a future occasion – definitely a house to want to return to.’ — Anne Thomas, 25 Oct 2020

Family holiday

By Amanda Hatch on 12-Sep-2020

We spent a week in this house and it was brilliant. The house is really lovely and light and modern and clean. We couldnt want for anything! The owners Sarah had left us some really beautiful flowers and a bottle of proseco in the fridge, which we felt was a really lovely touch. There was ample room for the 6 of us and everything was there that we needed. The location of the house was near other houses but we never got disturbed by any noise. We walked to Porthcothan beach, which took about 20 mins or so (be warned, there are steep bits, my mother couldn't have walked there) and the location of the house was near all the great dog friendly beaches and only a 15 min drive away from the supermarket. All in all we had a really brilliant, memorable family holiday and I would not hesitate to reccommend this place.
