The traditional flagstone floor, white-washed walls, and exposed beams create a charming atmosphere, complemented by modern comforts such as full central heating and a crackling wood-burning fire.Upon entering through the entrance hall with its unique water feature, you'll be greeted by a generously sized open-plan living area, complete with high ceilings and tasteful furnishings. The fully equipped kitchen boasts an oven, hob, two fridges, a small freezer, microwave, and dishwasher, along with an extending dining table that can seat up to 8 people. A passage and stone staircase within the building lead to an additional upstairs seating area/snug, featuring a sofa bed for extra guests. Step through the low arched doorway to find the minstrel gallery, offering a bird's eye view of the living area.

By Roberto Vivancos on 15-Nov-2024Excellent Cottages for a quiet break. We stayed two nights in November, and the weather wasn't the best, but the cottage was cosy and warm. It had everything we needed. The place is ideally located to visit Cardiff, Swansea, the coast and beaches, and explore inland as well. We will definitely come back.
I'd recommend staying here to anyone visiting South Wales. It's idyllic!!
By Emma Nagy on 04-Jun-2024Ty Tanglwyst Holiday cottages are my family's favourite place to stay in Wales. We visit every few years from Canada and can't imagine staying anywhere else! The hosts provide the warmest welcome - they're wonderful!! The cottages have so much charm and character - like your very own Escape to the Country. We visited a few weeks ago and got to use the hot tubs for the first time. It was a fantastic place to relax after putting the kids to bed. My children love the place too - especially getting to see the farm. The cottages are in a fantastic location - you're surrounded by nature, but so close to the sea at Porthcawl, and within a short drive to lots of great places (Margam Park, St. Ffagans, beaches and Castles). I've stayed in each of the cottages over the years - they're all lovely. I'd recommend staying here to anyone visiting South Wales. It's idyllic!!
Highly recommend!
By Carwyn Bassett on 24-May-2024Had an amazing time! Have stayed at both granary and coach house and both times were blown away by the hospitality and accommodations themselves. Very cozy with a wood fire fully stocked, a hot tub and beautifully thought out interiors. Was fantastic getting to see the cows going to get milked. The butter and fresh milk provided is amazing! Highly recommend!
