Description

Pentre is a self contained pet free holiday home near St. Austell. A short drive from the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project, it’s also close to Charlestown and Mevagissey. A perfect base for a family holiday, it’s well equipped for little ones, as well as being comfortable for a multi generational family escape.

We have 3 bedrooms- a king en-suite, double and twin with separate family bathroom (shower over bath). The kitchen is well equipped and also has a large dining table to seat all guests. Both kitchen and the adjoining lounge enjoy panoramic views across the village to the golf course on the other side of the valley. Although the property itself is all on one level, there are eleven steps with a handrail to the property from the drive.

The bungalow is a 5 minute walk from the village pub, well known for its food and welcoming atmosphere. The village shop is at the end of the road to Pentre so a pint of milk or a fresh loaf of bread is never far away. Only 3 miles from the beach, country walks from the doorstep and a multitude of family days out within 20mins drive, Pentre is ideal for a holiday exploring Cornwall.

Short breaks available Oct-Feb. Please visit our website for more information and our booking form.

Spacious bungalow

A spacious bungalow in a lovely little village. Lots of quaint places nearby to visit. Comfy beds and all the home from home equipment and facilities you will need.

An amazing place

By Kenneth McKinnon on 29-May-2023

Pentre is an amazing place. We went on our first ever family holiday here and everything was perfect. The village has an amazing playground great for little ones. The owners have done so much to make the home ready for little ones arriving. The village has everything you need if you want to stay close but 10 minutes in car you hit every amenity you can imagine. We barley scratches the surface of Cornwall, so much to see and do. We will be booking again soon.

Recommend to anyone

By Jen Smithson on 02-Jun-2022

Have had an absolutely amazing week at Pentre. Amazing location close to loads of beautiful beaches, wonderful harbour towns and lots of local amenities. The village pub is outstanding, but if you want to eat make sure you book a few days in advance it''s so popular and for a good reason. The cottage is light, spacious and has super comfy beds. Sam the owner is brilliant and really goes above and beyond. 1 minute walk to the local shop and 5 mins to the the pub and play park. The view over the village from the front window is amazing. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Cornwall. Will definitely be booking to return.

Wonderful week

By Rebekah Mogg on 31-Jul-2021

Just home from a wonderful week at Pentre. Sam went above and beyond to provide for our twin babies and had everything we could possibly need available. Would thoroughly recommend, it’s a great location to explore the south coast, we could have stayed for the whole summer and not run out of things to do! Beautiful accommodation in a fabulous spot! The picnic bench in the garden is the perfect spot for a hot chocolate (or a cream tea!). Thanks so much.

Spacious rooms

just return from spending the week at Pentre, we have had the most amazing week, Pentre is spacious and emaculate, the owner Sam thinks of everything you could need, and for little ones a cot and high chair are provided. There is a lovely village pub a short walk called the polgooth Inn, food is fab. Definitely would not think twice about returning. Thank you again Sam

Whitsun at Pentre

By Julie Elstins on 09-Jul-2021

We stayed at Pentre at Whitsun with my family of 6 which included a 16 years old (fan of the wifi), a 3 year old and 11 month old baby (both of whom enjoyed the adventures of crawling and running around from room to room in the house in complete safety) everything about the booking was so easy and Sam was very accommodating and helpful giving us plenty of advice and guidance. The house itself is spacious warm and welcoming and there is everything you may need including equipment for the toddler and baby including a travel cot, highchair, it meant we had less to bring so gave us more space in the cars. The beds are very comfortable and the linen and towels are good quality. The bungalow is spotlessly clean and we felt very safe in these Covid times! The ensuite is fabulous and the shower had great pressure. It’s ideal for families with young children and multigenerational groups. There is a fantastic beach 3 miles away, a great shop on the door step and a wonderful pub a short walk away. Would I stay again? Definitely!
