We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful gite. I can't fault anything about our stay here. We needed a get away from it all and this was it. David and Diana were such kind hosts and looked in on me when my husband had to fly home for a couple of days. Im still dreaming about this holiday destination and would love to return sometime.

Fantastic gite and swimming pool, enjoyed everyday day we were there. Diane and Richard were fantastic hosts. Go again if we go back Charente in France.
Diana and David were friendly, kind and helpful hosts. There if you needed them. The gite surpassed our expectations in that there was plenty of private outside space both at the front and rear of the property...thus allowing for sitting in/ out of the sunshine until late into the evening. The pool was spotless and a great size. Inside the gite was immaculate and our hosts had catered well, equipment wise...nothing had been overlooked. So we would highly recommend booking a gite at Chez Goret!
Such a marvellous week. Diana & David are the friendliest and most helpful hosts that we''ve had the pleasure to encounter not only have they created gorgeous retreat full of thoughtful touches but they were also so welcoming and approachable. The indoor hot tub is so relaxing, but the same can be said of the sitting room with its wonderful views and the pergola, the loungers, the pool...the list goes on and on! We had lovely times sitting and relaxing in Gite Skippy but when we could tear ourselves away we had enjoyable visits to Chateau Rochefoucald, Angouleme and Aubeterre Sur Dronne - all highly recommended
We loved our stay at gite Skippy. Diana and David were perfect hosts, welcoming and perfectly discrete. The gite is beautifally appointed and included everything that we could possibly require. The pool was delicioius and meticulously looked after daily by David. The gite is perfectly placed for exploring local towns and villages with Montmoreau close by for supplies and the train station for exploring further afield.
