Levisham is a beautiful village with a lovely pub right next to Primrose Cottage and Rectory Farm. The cottage was superb - lovely little extras of fresh flowers and homemade bread, lemon drizzle cake (to die for!) and fresh eggs. Michael and Heather made us feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend!
Date of Stay 5 Dec 2016 Helpful votes: 1/0 Back in December my wife & 18 month old son stayed for a few nights for my birthday. We were warmly welcomed with freshly baked lemon drizzle cake and eggs from the chickens. We had a fantastic stay visiting Whitby and Dalby Forest (which has the best adventure playground for ALL ages). Levisham is an amazingly secluded little place with a wonderful pub at the end of the road, a minutes walk from the cottages/B&B. A stay at Rectory Farm is a must. We'll certainly be back. 10/10
Well kept property, stayed at the Cowslip Cottage. Delightful setting. Great hospitality from the proprietors Heather and Michael. Would definitely consider further stays.
We had a lovely time in this very well equipped clean, and cosy cottage where lots of delicious food goodies awaited us. Thank you Heather and Michael for the freshly baked bread, cake, and other useful items. We enjoyed walks from the door, visiting the coast, and loved the pub a few steps from the door serving delicious food. Thanks again Helen and John Nottm

The cottage had all we needed and the owners were very helpful and even left us some milk, cake and bread. What more could you ask for The small village has its own pub serving real ales and there are several walks you can do without even getting in the car. The Station is a 1.5 mile walk and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway is great with many old trains that bring back memories for us oldies. We used this to go to Goathland and did a walk around that area before returning on the train. Lovely area of Yorkshire - well worth a visit

All I can say is I was really surprised, the cottage was great, we had fresh eggs, fresh homemade bread and cakes. The cottage was spotless. We have horses so it was lovely when we walked past the stables to see 3 horses one with a foal, our little girl loved it ! The village pub was really good we had a lovely meal.( make sure you ring and book if you want food it gets very busy ). The cottage is situated in the perfect spot, near the railway, near Dalby Forest, Whitby, Pickering there are lovely walks. Heather and Micheal were fantastic hosts we couldn't of asked for more. We have already booked to go again!
