Description
We offer three self-catering holiday cottages situated within the grounds of our Georgian house close to Pickering, on the edge of the North York Moors. Each holiday cottage is set in its own garden, providing you with privacy to relax and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The Barn (P217882), The Coach House (P217883) and Hall Cottage (P275687) can also be booked together for parties up to 15 guests with added capacity for infants.This wonderfully cosy self-catering cottage retains some of the original stabling and offers a quintessentially English country cottage experience. Perfect for family and friends’ getaways; it offers a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and shower, and a second twin bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom, complete with a bath and hand shower.
We would like to keep The Coach House and its furnishings to a high standard for the enjoyment of all our guests. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot have smoking.
Pets are considered but only by prior arrangement so please contact us regarding this.
Downstairs
The ground floor whilst providing separate areas, naturally flows from the comfortable sitting room with wood burning stove, two sofas, through the hall with original stable feature, to the lovely dining room with seating for six, and on into the well-equipped kitchen, with a WC beyond. There is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. French doors open out from the dining room on to the attractive cottage style garden.
Upstairs
The stairs lead up to a delightful master bedroom with a king sized bed and an en-suite bathroom complete with a rain shower. Along the landing is a spacious twin bedroom with two single beds and an ensuite bathroom with a bath and hand shower. The twin beds convert into a king sized bed upon request.
Outside
The cottage has its own access, drive, designated parking for up to three cars and a private and enclosed cottage style garden. There is an EV charger available at additional cost, which is located next to The Barn (our second cottage at Middleton Hall and within walking distance). An orchard is next to the garden with mature trees and wildlife.

The welcome groceries were very much appreciated and saved a dash to the local shop for milk etc. We enjoyed sunny afternoons sitting out in the pretty garden. Tucked away location but with plenty to do on the doorstep. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you.
Absolutely Stunning Cottage
By Dionne on 12-Oct-2024Absolutely stunning cottage, peaceful and beautiful surroundings. spotlessly clean when we arrived, and the little touches of wine bread, butter and milk being there for us as well as a dog bowl and towel were so thoughtful. Bedrooms were so spacious and immaculate, and the beds were so comfortable. A few lie-ins were had! Would definitely stay again and would recommend. I can imagine it being amazing for a Christmas stay - it just has that feel to it. Thank you David and Phillip.

Beautiful Cottage
By Susannah on 17-Feb-2024What a beautiful cottage, kept in pristine condition, and in a lovely location close to Pickering. The hosts responded quickly to any questions and seemed excellent attentive hosts. The cottage is very private and comfortable, with everything you could possibly need to live comfortably there. I would highly recommend staying there, and we will be going back ourselves.
