Description

A traditional Welsh cottage, Bluebell Cottage is situated in a quiet village in South Pembrokeshire and is within walking distance of the popular sandy beach at West Angle Bay.  An ideal holiday home for families, small groups of friends and couples. The cottage is well-equipped for children and we welcome your well behaved dog.

THE COTTAGE

Your holiday home from home is warm and welcoming, with a log burner for the colder months, fluffy towels and crisp white linen.

The charm and character of this traditional stone cottage has been retained, with Welsh stone floors and wooden beams, yet modern furnishings ensure it is comfortable for your stay.

The living room features a log burning stove, Smart TV & DVD player and free wifi. The kitchen has been thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities you would expect and a large dining table, and there is a utility area suitable for drying walking boots and wet weather gear. The bathroom is on the ground floor and includes a bath as well as a separate shower.

There is one spacious double bedroom on the ground floor while the original Victorian staircase leads to the light and airy bedrooms on the first floor with their lovely wooden floorboards. Upstairs there is one large double bedroom, one twin room and a single bedroom. High quality 100% cotton bed linen and large fluffy bath towels are provided for each guest.

The enclosed rear lawned garden with a patio, mature shrubs and fruit trees is a lovely spot in which to enjoy an alfresco meal on a Summer's evening, with a charcoal BBQ provided for use by guests.

The cottage is well-equipped for children, with a high chair, travel cot and stair gate at the top of the stairs provided. Parking is on-street at the front of the property and we are happy to accommodate one well-behaved dog. Additional dogs may be permitted on request.

THE VILLAGE

The quiet village of Angle is situated on a peninsula in the South West corner of Pembrokeshire. The local beach, West Angle Bay, is just 10 minutes walk from the cottage and is one of Pembrokeshire's most accessible, with easy parking, ramps down to the beach and beach wheelchairs available to book in advance.

PLACES TO EAT

Wavecrest cafe at West Angle Bay serves fantastic food during the day, The Hibernia Inn just a short stroll from the cottage serves hearty evening meals and if you venture round East Angle Bay you will be treated with great food and coastal views at The Old Point House. All are within walking distance of Bluebell Cottage.

THINGS TO DO

Beaches:
Pembrokeshire's beaches are regularly voted some of the best in the world and with over 50 Blue Flag beaches there are plenty to explore! A few of our favourites nearby are West Angle Bay, Freshwater West, Barafundle Bay and Broadhaven South.

Family Attractions:
The coastal town of Tenby is a 25 minute drive from the cottage and there are numerous attractions, including the Blue Lagoon at Bluestone Resort, Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm and Manor Wildlife Park nearby.

Castles & Heritage:
Pembrokeshire has ancient castles in abundance - Pembroke, Carew and Manorbier Castles to name just a few! Each one is quite different and well worth a visit. Chapel Bay Fort & Museum in Angle explains military technology and weaponry through the ages and another nearby must-visit is St Govan's Chapel, a small 13th Century chapel built into the sea cliff near Bosherton.

I have already recommended the cottage to family and friends!

By Anna on 18-Nov-2024

We just spent a lovely weekend at Bluebell Cottage - two families with small children. The cottage is a traditional Welsh cottage and very cosy. You can quite easily walk to Angle Beach (although there is plenty of parking), there is a playground almost next door, The Old Point House just around the corner was quite find - lovely food and local beers. I have already recommended the cottage to family and friends! We may well be back!

We really enjoyed staying at Jo’s place while we were working in the area. If in the area again, we will be returning.

Large cottage ideal for a family

By Laurence on 26-Sep-2024

Lovely cottage set in a lovely garden. Large cottage so ideal for a family (but just as good for a couple and a dog!). Angle is a very little village with no shop but pub and a beach cafe just down the road. Lovely countryside and beautiful beaches.
