A gorgeous, newly renovated, very spacious 6 bedroom luxury ski apartment located on the ground and first floors of our existing Deer Lodge Chalet. This is located in the small and traditional Savoyarde village of Peisey-Nancroix. Nestled right at the heart of the old village, it is a quiet location without loud nightlife but with a boulangerie, Intersport and small supermarket as well as a couple of bars all close to the chalet. These are conveniently placed midway along the short 400m walk to the Lonzagne bucket lift, which links Peisey village directly to the Les Arcs area or the Vanoise Express.
Sleeping 14 in 6 luxurious ensuite bedrooms, the renovation has been extremely sympathetic to a long history, retaining beams and ancient features, but complemented by stylish modern finishes in the bathrooms and the high end large kitchen. The kitchen opens onto a huge lounge with patio doors to the outside deck and small garden. From later in 2023 we are planning to have a wooden sauna outside which will be shared between the two properties. The spacious downstairs makes a fabulous area for groups to spend time eating and relaxing together.
The apartment is provided on a self catering basis. However, catering can be supplied separately by Chloe's Cuisine, a fabulous and personal service just for the chalets in Peisey village. There is a wide range of options from full catering with your own daily chalet host, to a drop off service for restaurant quality evening meals for you to heat yourselves.
Peisey-Nancroix is part of the Peisey-Vallandry resort in the Les Arcs ski area. This is then part of the huge Paradiski domain, one of the largest ski domains in the world and with fabulous pistes for all abilities, from protected nursery slopes for beginners to learn without pressure to some of the best black runs with the longest descents in the world and superb off piste opportunities. There is a skibus stop 40m from the lodge, linking to the bucket lift or to the nordic ski centre at Pont-Baudin, or it is a short 400m walk to the Lozange bucket lift linking to Plan Peisey. From here there is a choice of the fast 6-seater chairlift direct to the heart of Les Arcs area or the Vanoise Express linking les Arcs with la Plagne - the two main areas making up the enormous Paradiski domain. Peisey is perfectly situated at the centre of the two areas offering the very widest of choices for skiing.
The apartment is over two levels. The main living/dining and kitchen area occupies a large space on the ground floor, with doors to the outside, squashy sofas and space to spread and relax, a digital TV with both UK and French channels, DVD and games console. The large open kitchen and dining area has a fabulously equipped open kitchen - enough to cater for anything from the morning baguette and coffee to magnificent haute cuisine for all! There is a large dining table with room for everyone to sit and enjoy meals together whilst recounting the day’s exploits.
In addition there is a bedroom on this ground level with two single beds which can be pushed together to make a large double bed and a luxury ensuite with basin, bath with shower over and toilet.
As a very welcome addition there is also a separate games room on this level which is accessed separately and shared with the upstairs property and which has sofas and TV/games consule plus snooker table.
Upstairs there are a further 5 ensuite bedrooms. The master room on this level has a double bed with ensuite bathroom with Italian style walk in shower, basin and WC.
There are a further 3 spacious twin rooms with 2 singles which can make a double, each with their own ensuite shower room.
The 5th bedroom on this level is a family room with 2 single beds (which can be pushed together to make a double) plus bunkbeds - and an ensuite with walk in shower, basin and WC.
In addition, the chalet includes an electric bootdryer in the entranceway, plus heating bar so coats hung here should be dried overnight. There is a separate ski room for ski storage.
Good quality bedlinens and towels will be provided, with the beds made up for your arrival, for stays of 7 nights or more in winter season only. For shorter stays in that period or for stays outside the winter season there is an additional charge of 24 euros per person for the linen service which will include bedlinen, with beds made up, towels, bathmats and tea-towels.
