“La Roubidoune” is an ensemble of TWO buildings:
a 19th century converted stone BARN, sleeping up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms (3 with bathroom en-suite) and
a renovated COTTAGE sleeping 2 people.
It has a 12x6 meter heated swimming pool and about half hectare field at one end bordered by a stone wall.
It is located in the quiet, pretty village of Espedaillac in the heart of the beautiful Parc Naturel regional des Causses du Quercy (recognised as a “UNESCO mondial Géoparc”) in the Occitanie region of France.
-BARN: main entrance up some steps into a 17meters hayloft converted into a well equipped kitchen, leading to dining/living room, with WIFI internet, Satellite TV (UK channels) and Apple TV and a table football. At the end is the balcony with magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. A wooden staircase leads down to the bedrooms below, and a corridor to vine covered outdoor dining terrace where the table tennis stands.
-COTTAGE: Entrance into the main living room, through to well equipped dining kitchen. A wooden staircase leads up to the bedroom -queen size bed and air conditioned- and modern bathroom with bath and shower cubicle. It also has TV (French channels), Apple TV, WIFI internet access.
The village of Espedaillac is 20 minutes drive to the main town of FIGEAC, a beautiful medieval town with bustling Saturday market, supermarkets, shops, bars and delightful restaurants.
The village is well located for numerous tourist spots and places of interest, including Cahors, St Cirq-Lapopie, Rocamadour, the fascinating natural chasm of the “Gouffre de Padirac” as well as many pre-historic caves. It is an ideal base for visiting the Lot, Célé and Dordogne river valleys for a choice of many river activities.
