We found this a lovely place to enjoy time with young children and friends. A tranquil setting in the middle of gentle farmland. Despite mixed weather, we spent most of our time outdoors in the large open-walled dining and sitting area and the safe and well maintained pool. It has lots of kit for young children, and the kitchen is well equipped. Julie and Steve looked after us very well. Everything works. They unobtrusively looked after the garden and the pool and sorted any small problems, whilst also giving us a real sense of having the place to ourselves. In short a great place to relax, and particularly good for keeping young children - and their older generation minders..- entertained and happy. Thank you. We had a marvellous week's family party at this wonderful house with extensive gardens, wonderful views and a magnificent pool. We were a party of 15 - children ranged from 2 to 14 and Julie had something and places to go for all these age groups. This included toys, swings and slides to a pool table, football goal, darts etc. The extra separate 'granny and grandpa' cottage suited us perfectly. The pool is beautifully looked after, as is everything by Julie and Steve who live on site but quite discreetly. No requests were disregarded. We heartily recommend Las Cabanas.

We have just returned from the most wonderful stay at Las Cabanes! The house was perfect for our party of 8 adults and 6 young children. The pool and outdoor dining area were real highlights - even better than the photos suggest. Julie and Steve couldn’t have been more helpful, both in the lead up to the holiday and during our time there. The grandparents in the group were thrilled with the additional annex on the grounds which allowed them a few moments of peace and quiet..!The surrounding area is just stunning, the house is perfect and we are already planning our next holiday to Las Cabanes. Would thoroughly recommend!
We were a party of 6 adults and 2 toddlers (both aged 3). Las Cabanes was a wonderful place for us to call home for 2 weeks. Especially so, as we didn't get the best weather. The lengths Julie and Steve went to to cater for our young children was far in excess of anything we could have expected. The play park behind the house, the astro-turfed area with toddler cars, the guinea-pig hutch, the bikes on offer, the bits and bobs to play with in the pool; not to mention the mezzanine area inside that is so well stocked with toys. We had 4 rainy days and the kids were kept well entertained. It is also safe - there are plenty of baby gates, cots, fans, black-out-blinds, and other provisions above and beyond what you would expect a host to provide. The location is beautifully secluded while still within reach of towns, supermarkets, tourist destinations, and everything else you would want and expect while visiting France. Julie and Steve provide a great selection of local destination ideas, some of which we would definitely have missed had they not brought it to our attention. The pool is fantastic. It makes such a difference to have the water at a manageable temperature for enticing the kids to jump in and not immediately want to jump out and never go back! The house is comfortably spacious for 3 couples, and tastefully maintained. There are plenty of bathrooms and enough space for people to maneuver around without getting in each others way. There is plenty for adults to do too, the pool is big enough to entertain the whole family, there are 2 BBQs, a pool table, darts board, bikes, plenty of outdoor space to sit and enjoy the evenings. When we first saw the listing, we were a little put off by the fact that the owners live on-site. But actually, it was perfect. They were on hand to help us with a couple of queries here and there, and to figure out plans for the rainy days, and are lovely people to just say hello to as/when they are watering the plants or cleaning the pool in the morning. But otherwise keep themselves to themselves and live suitably far away that you do feel privacy is maintained. We will certainly be back. We had a lovely stay during the August heatwave, the pool was a necessity! Great location away from the main roads, so very peaceful, and the kids really enjoyed stargazing at night. Steve and Julie were very welcoming and helpful.
What a wonderful week at this beautiful place! We stayed here with our family as a group of 7 adults a toddler and 2 babies and there was something for everyone. Julie and Steve have thought of absolutely everything. The house is large so that everyone has lots of space, the beds are very comfortable with good linen and plenty of bathrooms. There is a massive upstairs room where it is totally safe for a 2 year old and ‘crawler’ with so many toys to keep them busy - a real bonus for tired parents! Apart from the lovely pool with plenty of loungers in the sun and shade. There is a barn attached with sitting area with outdoor gas bbq, large dining area and plenty of space for little ones. Another dining area off the kitchen too which is ideal for leisurely lunches. Enclosed shady toddler play area with play house and a slide and swings for older kids. The pretty gite in the garden is ideal for grandparents who can escape for some peace and quiet. Julie and Steve are on hand if you need anything (they use another drive so are not intruding on your holiday). This is a comfortable and well equipped home ideal for a family group. The kitchen was extensively used during our stay and has plenty of large cooking equipment and all the baby equipment you can think of. Julie also organised the use of the local tennis courts for us and left tennis rackets and balls for us to use. Thank you so much Julie and Steve we all had a wonderful time!
