Overview
Description
The property is one of the largest stone built terraced cottages and closest to the beach, in the fishing port of Amble by the Sea. It has a lovely sunny rear terrace, with table and chairs, sunny kitchen and front living room. The rear living room is warm and cosy, with a huge original 1890's beautiful fireplace, whilst the bedrooms, also with original fireplaces are light and cheerful with good quality beds, John Lewis, and White Company bedding and custom made blinds and curtains. There is free unlimited BT Broadband available. and the cottage is on the Northumberland cycle route, which accesses some wonderful coastal and country walks with its location a mile from Warkworth . Safe off-road parking at the rear, next to gardens. Our website linked below has more photos and information plus prices, which include everything you could need, the only extra charge is for one dog at £10 per week. We have owned the house for many years, and know it is VERY competitively priced. We have also rented for years, and have lots of regular guests who come year after year.
The one shopping street has butchers, bakers, wet fish shop, greengrocer, and there is an award winning fish and chip shop, numerous restaurants and an Italian ice cream parlour within a ten minute walk, as well as the renowned shopping pods by the harbour. You can watch the fisherman land their catch, take in the view of Warkworth Castle and the river Coquet and see the yachts in the marina. Because this house is our own holiday home, it is very well equipped, as I like to cook, so there is none of this four cups, four glasses, four plates. It is a home, there is lots of everything, There are freeview TV's in both living rooms, and the main bedroom. There is a lockable outbuilding for storage of bicycles or golf clubs. The third single bedroom is only suitable for a child, as it is a walk through to the bathroom, but it is quite a large bedroom. The two main bedrooms are particularly spacious, more so than the photos can show. Mirrors are placed near plugs (so often missed and for the ladies, totally essential) and there are lots of lamps, cushions and throws. Comfort is key for us.

We have enjoyed every second in this beautiful cottage
By The Taylor Family on 01-Apr-2023What a fantastic start to this year's holiday season! We have enjoyed every second in this beautiful cottage, we really didn't want to leave. We have walked and walked and have the happiest border collie on the planet, who settled straight away and has absolutely loved the beaches and slept well, as have we all.
Just so lovely to be back
By Rachael Goodman & family on 13-Aug-2022Booked again fairly soon after leaving last summer and just so lovely to be back! We love having so many rooms to spread ourselves out in, with five of us this year, we could happily spend a rainy Tuesday in the cottage!
