Description

Mariners House. Luxury seafront villa with view up the Antrim coast. Perfect destination for exploring or relaxing in a home from home with sandy beach on your doorstep.
Enjoy a morning coffee in the garden, or while away time on the deck at the front watching ships and yachts go by.
Stride to the nearby Golf club for a weekend meal or BBQ on the deck, then cosy up by the log burner with family or friends.
Sleep 12 across 5 bedrooms from age of 3 and up.
Well behaved dogs welcome. Modern decor, wooden floors, soft throws.
Quality. Comfy. Peaceful.

Visit the world famous Giants Causeway or Bushmills Whiskey distillery up the coast. Get the train from Whitehead (12minute drive) to Belfast and experience the Titantic Quarter, Belfasts Infamous Prison with the Crumlin Road Gaol experience, numerous restaurants or theatre shows. There are plenty of shops to browse and afternoon tea at the 5* Merchant Hotel is a popular stop.
If you're after thrills try Let's Go Hydro for an aqua inflatable experience you'll remember.
And if you're a Game of Thrones enthusiast, book the studio tour, see the locations or learn archery.

As exciting as Northern Ireland is, Islandmagee is also the perfect relaxation backdrop. If you prefer to stay close to home, swim in the sea, enrol on a paddleboarding course at Portmuck (5 minute drive away), book a horse riding lesson or visit the Gobbins coastal walk and visitors centre with the Rhinka shop around the corner which is an ice cream must.

For the keen golfers, Larne Golf Club is a 2 minute walk up the hill where you can book the well looked after and one of the most challenging Northern Ireland 9 hole course and meet the very friendly locals. Be sure to say you're staying at Mariner's House. There are also 5 other golf courses within 20 miles.

Whether you want to explore with an action packed holiday or relax in peace and tranquility, both are easy to make happen from Mariners House.

You'll ideally need a car to get here and explore the area. There is a bus once a day running to Whitehead, Carrickfergus and beyond.
You can fit up to 4 cars in the driveway.

Directions
When you reach Islandmagee, head down the Low Road, all the way down the Island to Browns Bay. Go through Browns Bay and just past Larne Golf Club after the bend you'll see a private lane on your right hand side. Be careful not to miss it. It's the first big house on the right inside the lane. If you get to the dock you've gone too far and missed the lane.
Tip: Pick up provisions at the SPAR at the head of the island before you drive down and don't forget charcoal for the BBQ

Check in and out days are Mondays and Fridays in peak season.
There is a cleaning fee of £230 per stay and a damages security deposit of £500 held until the day you leave and the cleaners have been in to approve the property.

Check-in method
Lockbox
I was brought up in beautiful Islandmagee but am currently living in England so won’t meet you in person.
You’ll find a key box to the left hand side of the front door and be given the code before your stay once your deposit is given. Drive to the end of the drive to the conservatory and the front door is on your right.

There will be 2 sets of keys for the front door. Please look after them and when you’re leaving lock all doors and return the keys to the key box.
There is a back door key in the door to be left in it and locked when you leave.
You’ll find a house guide with details of everything you should need.

Although we’re not there we’ll have regular contact with you to ensure you have everything you need. We also have a close by neighbour for any issues or emergencies you may have.

Address details and house manual will be provided on confirmation of booking

Stunning

By Ritika on 17-Oct-2023

Tracey was a really nice host, she was very approachable and whenever I had any requests, she entertained them properly. The house was clean and had all the amenities. The location was remote and could not be easily accessed through public transport but it was very beautiful near the coast. It was a comfortable stay. xD

We loved Mariners House

We loved our visit to Mariners House. It was very spacious, clean and in a great location. It''s right on the beach with lots of great tourist attractions close by. The house has everything you need for a break with family or friends. We will definitely be coming back next year!

FABULOUS HOUSE

Fabulous house, beautiful costal views, exceptional host. Tracey was really proactive in her communications and we loved the special welcome basket. Kitchen is really well equipped so we loved making big family meals.
