Another wonderful stay in the Cornish gem

By GLENN B on 22-Sep-2024

I guess I fall into the category of 'repeat customer ' as we return again and again to this treasure of accommodation. Stunning location, excellent facilities, superb communication with the owners and surrounded by amazing eateries make this a first choice every time if we visit Cornwall.

Lovely, spacious apartment; perfect location for the beach and as a base for day trips out.

By H9284ENchristinem on 22-Sep-2024

This apartment set the stage for a wonderful trip to Newquay. A lovely, spacious apartment with everything you could need. All mod cons - like a home away from home. It was well taken care of, clean and nicely decorated. It was very comfortable. We usually like to cook for ourselves in the evenings and the kitchen had everything you needed to do that. It was a perfect location for the beach and for walks along the headland. It was a great base for day trips out too. The weather was mixed, as you might expect at this time of year. When it was nice, it was great to sit outside on the patio and just take in the scenery. And when it was stormy, it was cozy being inside and watching the weather. We would definitely book this again when visiting Newquay.

Great family break.

Had a great break away with the family. The apartment was fantastic and in a great location right on the beach. Would definitely look to go back in the future.

A wonderful stay in a fantastic apartment

By Mark W on 22-Jul-2024

Another beautiful stay at Coast 1. The apartment has everything you need and expect and all to a great standard. The weather was much better than expected so a hop over the wall to have a beach barbecue rounded off one brilliant day. Such a beautiful beach, well used but never too busy and always clean.

What a fabulous place!

By Sarah C on 22-Jul-2024

Wow, when they say this apartment is right on the beach, it really is! 10 paces from the patio doors and you step down onto the sand. Couldn’t be closer! The apartment itself is terrific. Very spacious and everything feels and looks like new. It’s very comfortable and one of the best places I’ve stayed in. Oh and the sunsets from the patio overlooking the sea are fabulous. Can’t wait until our next stay.

Chilled Easter week

By SallyGoody on 06-Apr-2024

This time last year we were in California, and I (mum) have serious holiday blues, but I have to say this week in Porth at Coast 1 has done the best job at distracting me from my blues! I don’t think I can put into words how relaxed and chilled myself and family have been! Coast 1 is absolutely amazing. Where to start ? The apartment is fabulous, with spacious bedrooms and wonderful well equipped kitchen/dining/living room looking out onto a private patio and Porth beach. Our boys (12 & 9) loved the freedom on the beach playing baseball and digging holes in sight of us from the apartment as we got ready for day trips out. We were lucky with the weather so spent a lot of time on the beach. There is a useful utility room with a washing machine and Hoover (which got used daily to get rid of the sand that the living room seemed gain!) plenty of space for coats and boots/wellies etc! The underfloor heating is great, so if you go in winter months you definitely will not be cold! Great storage for surfboards/bodyboards/paddleboads, buckets, spade and crabbing nets etc by the car park (parking spot for one car, which is tight but we managed with a transporter)! You can’t surf at Porth beach in the summer months but it’s not far to Watergate Bay, Mawgan Porth or Fistral by car or by foot it’s not too long to the stunning Lusty Glaze (be prepared for steps)! I have to say out of all self catering accommodation we have stayed in before, this is one of my favourites, mostly for location, I have loved waking up to the beach view and not having to get in the car to rush off early to get a parking spot at beaches (like we do in the summer when we come to Cornwall camping), although I guess in the summer months traffic/parking will still be as bad even from here. (Newquay roads are crazy busy)! But there are so many places we have been able to walk to and explore from the apartment, coming across great little coves we have never seen before when we are driving past on the main roads! Janet was great at getting back to me when I had questions. I would like to say thank you to a lovely host, for letting us stay in your beautiful, clean homely home. I would and think at somepoint we will 100% revisit Coast 1!!!! Now back to reality. I have added some pictures below but couldn’t add the videos I have taken I will be doing a review on my instagram page @dreamingofvanadventures so take a look there if you want to see videos!
