Description
Red Kite Lodge is the largest one of four cottages in beautifully converted 18th century barns in North Pembrokeshire.Set in grounds of around one acre with a communal garden area, orchard, pond, stream, and views over the Pembrokeshire countryside and Teifi Valley which is renowned for its fishing and scenery.
The cottage has been carefully renovated and provides a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of modern day living. It has a comfortable open plan living room and kitchen, bathroom, and two steps lead to the two bedrooms. There is also a mezzanine level with day bed for additional sleeping or relaxing space. There is an enclosed garden with picnic bench to enjoy eating alfresco and for your dogs to enjoy.
Red Kite Lodge is perfectly located close to the market towns of Cardigan or Newcastle Emlyn, where, you’ll find an array of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. If you want dog-friendly beaches, then you'll be spoilt for choice with easy access to a wide variety within 30 minutes drive. Closer to home, the cottage is around 30 minutes walk of two pubs, one of which is dog-friendly, and there is a footpath directly from the cottages.

By Sally on 12-Nov-2025Have stayed here quite a few times, very quiet area, quite close to different beaches Neil and Kate are fantastic hosts, very cosy cottage everything that you need is in there, and if there is a problem or you need anything, they will sort this immediately…have already booked again for next year
Couldn't have been better

Stay at Red Kite cottage
By Cheryl on 12-Jun-2025Very recommended for a country retreat. Use as a base there’s plenty to see in the surrounding area. We had a lovely stay. Our only recommendation is that the games hut needs refurbishing and decorating. Highly recommended.
Our favourite place
By Lesley on 10-Jun-2025Love this place. Have now stayed in 2 of the 4 properties. The last stay was Red Kite Cottage and it was beautiful. The setting is pure countryside, no light pollution and skies full of stars (on clear nights). You don't need alarms as you have the lovely sound of the local birds to wake you. Everything you need is in the cottage. Just bring yourselves and the dog. A great little exercise area for the dog and there is also access to chickens and a pond through lovely wild meadow gardens. For the kids, a games shed to keep them occupied. Kate and Neil are perfect hosts, full of suggestions for the local area and always on hand if you need them. We use the cottage as a base to visit Pembrokeshire as the coastline is in easy access. The beautiful beaches of Poppitt Sands and Newport are just down the road. To top it off, you have a nice little local pub in the village, only 20mins walk from cottages. Perfect for those lovely light sunny evenings. Highly recommend this place.
