Last minute? Call or message us for the best price!A charming Welsh cottage sleeping 2+1 baby, with a wood-burning stove, beamed ceilings, and oak floors. The character-filled cottage features a well-equipped kitchen, galleried bedroom with roll-top bath, and private patio with countryside views. Perfect for a peaceful getaway.
With lime-washed stone walls, beautiful beamed ceilings and stunning oak floors, Bryn-y-Gof is a traditional Welsh holiday cottage with character and charm. Restored to the highest standard, it retains the wonderful character of this beautiful historic building. The antique oak and pine have been painstakingly restored, giving the cottage a cosy, warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout.
In the lounge, a large inglenook fireplace features a cosy woodburing stove. A widescreen smart digital TV, DVD player, CD/docking station and free Wi-Fi access are provided. For those who need to work, there is also a separate desk with study lamp.
With beautiful oak worktops, a quarry tiled floor, beamed ceiling, ceramic top cooker, fridge, microwave, antique table and chairs, the kitchen diner offers the perfect setting for enjoying quality time together.
An antique oak staircase leads up to the large galleried bedroom. Please note that this staircase is steeper than normal and therefore unsuitable for those with limited mobility - please read more about accessibility below or call us if you need advice.
The light and airy bedroom has a stunning beamed ceiling, antique king-size brass and iron bed, a luxurious roll-top slipper bath by the fire, and a TV. There is a separate en-suite shower room (step down from bedroom) with a power shower. You can even watch foxes and rabbits play (not together of course!) in the field adjacent to the bed.
The cottage has central heating and all furnishings are either new or beautiful antiques. Outside is a large, well furnished private patio with lovely views across the countryside. Sit and listen to the sound of the stream in the beautiful wooded valley below, listen to the abundant birdlife or wander through our seven-acre meadow.
Accessibility. Built circa 1900 the cottage has not been designed with wheelchair access. There are steps down from main patio to the entrance door. 2 More steps from hall into lounge. The staircase is steeper pitch than normal and therefore not suitable for the infirm. There is also a step down from bedroom into the shower room.

Another fantastically relaxing stay
By Sarah & David on 25-Nov-2024Another (3rd) fantastically relaxing and comfortable stay. Arrived with Storm Bert , flooded lanes and driving hail but have had bright bracing sunshine since. Old favourites revisited – Penbryn Beach, afon Mel honey farm abd Llangrannog with a welcoming lunch at The Pentre Arms. New discoveries – Mwnt, pretty chapel and worth climbing the hill for the views and Gwbert – cliff edge golf coursewalk & great sunset. Your homely touches – flowers, welshcakes, milk, logs are much appreciated. As as the security lights outside when coming back in the dark. The new LEDs in the kitchen also very good. Thanks so much, Already planning our return.
Yet another wonderful break
By Cath & David on 10-Nov-2024Yet another wonderful break! The weather was perfect for coastal cliff walks and walking on the beach. Everything we needed was here as usual. Thank you
So Wonderfully Cosy, we will be back
By Monica & Esther on 16-Oct-2024A relaxing break in this wonderfully cosy cottage. The field is a great bonus for a lively puppy and the woodland walk from cottage is fabulous. Be prepared to clamber over and under fallen trees and wellies are essential to cross the stream but the meandering path, wooden footbridge and lovely views are well worth the effort. We will return again. Thank you Norma & James.
Another lovely stay in our cosy haven
By Lynn & Dom on 07-Sep-2024Thank you yet again Norma & James for a wonderful stay in this cosy little haven. We enjoyed the big long soaks in the bath and the lovely fire on chilly evenings. We managed a visit to the Preseli Hills, finding stone circles, a real adventure. Hope to visit again in March 25
Enjoyed it so much we stayed for longer
By Jamie, Kara & Mabel on 26-Aug-2024This was the perfect little getaway, our first as a family of three with our little girl. Bryn-y-Gof is just beautiful. We have had the most relaxing time away. A huge thank you to Norma & James who initially directed us here after a few wrong turns en route. Thank you for the little extras milk, fresh flowers and welshcakes, a perfect touch. We enjoyed our stay so much that we ended up staying an extra night. Jamie, Kara & Mabel
