Description

Clean, comfortable flat on two levels, only a short walk from the beach.

Mudeford is a relaxed traditional seaside village. You are 4 minutes' walk from Avon Beach, a large and lovely sandy beach with the Noisy Lobster restaurant, hire bicycles, views to the Isle of Wight. Five minutes' walk in the other direction takes you to Mudeford Quay, the Haven pub and cafe, hire watersports, fishing boat trips, views of Christchurch harbour, ferry to Hengistbury Head. The New Forest, coast, Christchurch, Lymington, Bournemouth, good pubs and restaurants, are all in easy reach. Welcoming cafe below the flat for breakfast or lunch.

The apartment is on the first floor, and is loft-style, with a spacious and airy feel:

- Light, bright double height sitting/dining room, roughly 29 square metres (excluding kitchen area), Scandinavian-style with quality wooden furniture (sofa, armchairs, coffee tables, dining table and chairs)

- Kitchen area with stone worktop/breakfast bar and stools, fitted kitchen, in area around 5 square metres - including gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, kettle.

- Bedroom area on the mezzanine floor above, comfortable John Lewis double bed with pure cotton bedlinens, ample hanging space, chest of drawers, skylight, bedside tables and reading lights. One "wall" of the bedroom is open to the double height living area, with rail and screen, as shown in photo.

- Bathroom with extra large shower on the first floor.

Reserved parking, valuable in this popular area with parking restrictions on the street April-September inclusive.

You need to be able to climb stairs for access to the flat.

Long or short stays, with cheaper rates for weekdays and discounts built in to the price for 7 nights or more. The pricing also includes a built in early bird discount of 10% if you book a stay in July or August 2025 at least 6 months ahead: a week in July or August is presently £765.
Green travel options: railway stations at Hinton Admiral and Christchurch, a taxi ride away; superfast EV charging at Sainsburys nearby.

Check in is from 4 pm, check out by 11 am to give you plenty of time for breakfast before you leave us.

Fair written terms include a 10% rental deposit on booking, returnable as per the agreement. This is our second home, not part of a rental business, and is equipped accordingly, but kept free of any personal clutter.

peaceful and comfortable flat in a nice location

This was a lovely place to be based while I was in the area for a week doing a training course at a nearby retreat centre. I like to be able to prepare my own food and the flat was very well set up for this with plenty of space in the kitchen and decent cooking equipment. The whole flat was spacious and very comfortable, a great place to return to and relax or do my evening study. I also enjoyed strolling out to the beach and quay. The flat is well heated but I could also open skylights and french doors when the weather was nice to have fresh air. I appreciated having the dedicated parking spot. Access and instructions were all excellent, it’s just worth noting that the flat is on the first floor and you will be walking up some steps with your luggage. Clare the owner was incredibly helpful and pleasant in all communications, and I really appreciated that she is sharing her part-time home with guests. Thanks again

Lovely clean flat

My parents enjoyed their stay here, so close to the beach, restaurants and cafes, all in short walking distance. The flat was immaculate and the owner was helpful and friendly.

We would happily live here.

We can't speak highly enough about this property. It is absolutely pristine, comfortably furnished and has everything that you could possibly need. The sea front is only a couple of minutes walk away, whichever route you take, and it's a great base from which to explore the area. For example, RSPB Arne & Corfe Castle and the New Forest. The check in and other information provided by Clare was very helpful, clear & concise and she's also very quick to respond to any queries. We've stayed in many self-catering places in many locations over the years and this is one at the top of our list.

Great apartment 4min walk to beach

We had a lovely 5 day stay in a very spacious spotlessly clean apartment and well furnished, we felt really at home. The communication was excellent and Clare was very helpful. Out deposit was very promptly returned. The cafe down below was very handy for our breakfast in the mornings! Lovely sandy beach on our doorstep. We can recommend a great Sunday lunch at The Castle House at Barton- on-Sea but you need to book first. In all a great location to visit other places and we hope to come back again! We definitely recommend!!!

4 Days in Lovely Mudeford

We echo previous review regarding the flat being more spacious than it appears in the photos, it's so light and airy. We felt very much at home in no time. One of the cleanest self catering properties we've stayed in (there's been quite a few). Good location for beach, quay & driving to the New Forest. Being above the café, where we had an excellent breakfast was a bonus. Lovely bathroom and comfy bed.
