The 'Grand Park' with its day-time attractions is open to visitors, without reservation, throughout the season and there is night-time 'son-et-lumiere' open air theatre for which you need to book months in advance (but well worth it!). Another fantastic holiday at the barn!

By Gemma Wildman on 06-Jul-2024

We had no hesitations about returning back to the barn for a second time this summer and had another fantastic break! The barn has everything we could ask for and feels like a home from home. We love that it is so peaceful and secluded yet only 20 minutes or so from all the different beaches and seaside resorts. There is so much to do and visit but it was also lovely just chilling out at the barn and switching off. Thanks Stephen- looking forward to returning next year!!

Absolutely First Rate

By Michael Berry on 15-Jun-2024

Having experienced getting on for fifty holiday homes over the last quarter century, in the UK, US, Italy and France, we have no doubt that le Grenier à Foin is among the very best few. For those seeking rural tranquility but also wanting interesting places within striking distance it offers much. It is splendidly designed, furnished and equipped. Everyday shopping is readily available a few minutes’ drive away in Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits. Beaches (we liked Les Conches) are a short drive away. Slightly further afield is the castle at Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, and further still La Rochelle and Sables d’Olonne, for example. We would happily return.

Perfect location for the beaches

By Nick Woodward on 02-Sep-2023

The Barn was in a great location just off the main road between Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits and La Tranche sur Mer. It has all the facilities needed for a family holiday. We had a 1 year old grandson with us and with a bit of rearrnging here and there it was perfect for him.

A beautiful Gite in the French countryside

By Emma-Jane Fowler on 13-Aug-2023

Myself and family have just returned from a weeks holiday at this beautiful spot and we can't wait to go back. The house had everything you could hope for and was very accurately described as well as local amenities, activities and sight-seeing recommendations. Perfect for a relaxed getaway with everything just a short drive away should you need it.

A great base to enjoy the area

By Martin &Nicole on 29-Jul-2023

The Barn was lovely to stay in and was exactly as per description with lots of facilities on site and within a short distance of many beaches and local towns . Stephen the owner has been excellent in answering any questions and had an excellent information folder about the barn and ideas on what to do and where to go locally .

Simply amazing!

By Gemma Wildman on 08-Jul-2023

Just got back from nearly 2 weeks at the barn and we are so sad to say goodbye. We cannot rate it highly enough. It was our first family holiday abroad with our toddler and we are so glad we chose the barn to stay in. It is beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice. There was so much space and the area is so quiet, but still ideally situated for beaches and days out. The barn was equipped with everything you could possibly need and felt like a real home not just a holiday let. Stephen was really helpful in his communication and gave us lots of info too. We have recommended it to people already and can’t wait to come back next year!
