The location could not be better, close to the beach and Porthmadog town. Ample parking with a patio seating area. The cottage is spacious upstairs and down. The furniture is comfortable, including the beds! Large dining table which can easily seat 8. An ideal holiday rental for a large family, with space for drying wetsuits etc. The owner is a delight to deal with which is why we have returned for the past three years, and would return again.
Left on Jul 14, 2019 for a stay in Jul 2019 Perfect location for lovely beach and coastal walks, with mountain walks only a short drive away. Property is excellent for either 2 couples or young families and ideal for those with a dog. Alan was very helpful and accommodating with prompt replies to emails. Hopefully we can return again soon.
The contact with owner was good.The accommodation was comfortable and spacious. We were surprised there was no visitors book with useful information or operating instructions for cooker which is found in most holiday rentals. A hairdryer would have been useful. We had a lovely time with fantastic weather.
Before we started our trip to Wales I had various correspondence with Alan who was very helpful and provided us with all of the information for a confident journey. The Chapel was easy to find and had ample parking plus a nice outside space with picnic table. Upon entry we were very happy with the cleanliness and layout - the living and eating areas were nicely defined yet open plan. The kitchen is very well equipped. We used the cooker, microwave & washing machine several times and all were in good working order and easy to use. We also used the WiFi and TV, having no problems with connectivity etc. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom functional. The location makes a great base for exploring the many activity centres, mines and other areas of interest within an hours drive. Black Rock Sands beach is just a short walk away too and simply stunning. We look forward to returning.
Our first stay here , we have been staying in porthmadog for 31 years usually on the caravan park black rock but would definately recommend this place and will be returning. Easy to book and Alan was fab .
My daughter booked this wonderful place for us all to celebrate a 65th birthday with the grandchildren and their dogs. Everything was very clean, spacious, comfortable and modern with a wonderful well equipped kitchen The renovation & decor is fab, excellent wifi, even books, DVDs and games provided. Porthmadog is a wonderful location & very special to us and to find such a lovely place, within 10 mins walk to the beach was an added bonus. There is a lovely fish & shop and local shop 5 mins away. Will definitely be back - would highly recommend.
