Description

The Milking Parlour can be found nestled in the hidden hamlet of Ashford, close to Bigbury on Sea in the South Hams, South Devon. This truly gorgeous 3 bedroom barn conversion is full of character and space. It’s a wonderful property to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the South Hams countryside whilst also being within easy reach of some of the best beaches the South West has to offer; Bigbury on Sea, Bantham, Thurlestone Sands and Hope Cove are all within a short drive. The Milking Parlour is a beautiful barn conversion in such a peaceful setting – ideal for anyone who wants to have a relaxing South Hams experience with its beautiful beaches, yet within easy reach of the wildness of Dartmoor.
This lovely large 3 bed cottage is a must for anyone wanting to get away and recharge the system.

The Milking Parlour is accessed through the stable front door into the large kitchen/diner. Fully fitted with Bosch ovens, dishwasher, 70/30 fridge freezer, extraction hood and microwave.

A small utility room is off the kitchen and houses the washing machine/dryer.
There is also a spacious and very useable inner hallway for coats and shoe storage and a downstairs cloakroom on this floor.

Stairs lead to the upper ground floor and to the upper floors. On the upper ground floor, there is a lovely light airy snug space; a perfect place to curl up on the sofa, enjoy a coffee and read a good book whilst looking out over the garden. The comfortable lounge is accessed through double half glass doors. 2 spacious sofas and a comfy leather arm chair with foot stool face the log burner and Freesat tv.

A beautiful wide timber back door leads from the snug to an enclosed private garden with large garden dining table, and additional seating. There is level pedestrian access from the garden to the car park - ideal if you have bikes, surf boards or SUPs, and an outside garden tap to wash off the days sand and salt.

Upstairs are 3 bedrooms. The first is a double bedroom and enjoys a quirky balcony overlooking the large kitchen dining room; the second room has twin beds and the master houses a king bed. The master bedroom has the added benefit of a modern walk-in shower ensuite. There is also a modern family bathroom with bath and shower over.

To the front of The Milking Parlour is a shared courtyard, which the owners say reminds them of Tuscany. There is one allocated parking space in the car park and 6 visitor spaces. There is also potential access to EV charging.
