The family house was great for our weeks stay in the first week of October. We combined some time at the pool with cycling excursions, going to the Pyrenees , sightseeing and generally exploring the local area. The house is spacious, well equipped and clean and we thought better was than the photos . The village was very quiet but Mirapoix is very close with lovely architecture, a great market, shops and a good large supermarket very close by car. The owners of the bread dispensing machine in the village were away when we there but the supermarket and boulangerie in Mirapoix were convenient. We would probably go 2 weeks earlier if we returned.
We were a family group of four couples, one single, and an infant, all but me Australian. Most of the group had never visited France, let alone this area. The trip was an outstanding success and we all loved this house. If you are after the property with the perfect appearance and detached grounds to grace your social media profile then look elsewhere. But if you are after a genuine house in a quiet village in a beautiful area, look no further. We found the description matched what we found and in most areas exceeded expectations. In particular the bathrooms were particularly good. Spotlessly clean throughout. The bedroom on the 2nd floor is accessed by very steep stairs and has a low roof either side so this might not suit some. Very good value and we would love to return one day.
A lovely family home, very well appointed and equipped for a 3-generation family holiday. The lovely salt pool was appreciated by the whole family, and the children thoroughly enjoyed the inflatables and the water pistols. The. Village is quiet but only 5 minutes drive from Mirepoix, which is a beautiful characterful medieval town, with all the shops cafes and restaurants needed to experience the real South of France life. We all found what we called the ‘village bread bot’ fascinating ! What a brilliant idea, since the boulangerie has closed. A very good place from where to explore the whole area. Great markets and night markets and every village has something going on during the summer. It is a good idea however, to research and plan beforehand, as we found we missed a lot exciting events. Thank you Richard for being a great host and for making our stay so memorable !
Spacious, and very well equipped and laid out home. We especially enjoyed the pool and poolside, and the convenience of being close to Mirepoix with its facilities.
Enjoyed a very relaxing stay here. The 5 bedroomed, 4 bathroomed house was very nicely appointed and had all the mod cons we needed. The pool was most welcome, a decent size and very clean and well looked after. We were in a good geographical area with Mirepoix (with its large supermarket) just 5 mins drive away and that was a great place to go and people watch whilst sipping a coffee. Further afield we visited Toulouse, Carcassone and Narbonne. The scenery all around is quite something.
A wonderful holiday in an absolutely magnificent house in this beautiful part of France. My family had a fantastic time here. This immaculate and ever so warm, welcoming and comfortable property made our holiday perfect. Thank you so much! Loved the house, the pool and the gardens. The village is also delightful. Will certainly be returning in the future.
