Description
A pretty ground floor bungalow with conservatory, on the outskirts of the market town of Hesdin.
Guests come for French comforts, the countryside, the clean sandy beaches or WW1 sites. With the tunnel and ferry ports just over an hour's drive away, this is an easy holiday location or for a short break.
There is an excellent restaurant just 250metres from your door or a good selection to suit all budgets in town, just a 15-minute walk away. Watch the world go by from the cafés on the square on market day and come home laden with treats to eat.
We have a great leisure centre in the town with both in and outdoor pools, slides and amusements for the energetic, a fitness room and spa for the adults. There is a bowling alley, paddle tennis and a café/bar open into the evening.
Arras and Lille are ideal for window shopping and city culture.
If you just want to rest up, laze in the lawned garden and enjoy watching the sheep and chickens grazing in the cider orchard bordered by the gentle river Canche. The sun-trap conservatory makes the most of the location's views, and as a second dining room and sitting area.
The cottage is spacious, warm and welcoming.
There are two double bedrooms, one leading to a twin bedroom. The large living room with log fire provides a dining area, sitting room and fitted kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer etc). There is French TV, a dvd player and a selection of films. The conservatory is off the living room.
Outside there is a barbecue and covered living space with more garden furniture. The garden is lawned and there is a table tennis set and boules.
*There is a second holiday house on the property beyond the garden. No visual contact.
