Your hosts Ian and Carol would like to welcome you to La Fleureau which stands in an elevated position, at 275 metres, with magnificent views towards the Chateau of Magrin and the Black Mountains beyond. On clear days the snow-capped Pyrenean Mountains can be seen. The surrounding area is known locally as "little Tuscany." A floodlit swimming pool with wide steps for ease of entry is set in gardens with lawns, well established shrubs and palm trees. The Japanese garden offers areas for strolling or meditation. All this provides a superb, tranquil setting. There is an outside shower facility and pool house which has a fridge, ice machine, tea, coffee and cold drinks bar. The landscaped grounds, interspersed with shingle paths, offer plenty of shade for that afternoon nap or to sip a glass of wine whilst watching the sun go down. There is secure covered parking to keep your car cool!
The accommodation provides more than just a Bed and Breakfast. There are five rooms for you to unwind and relax in. The main bedroom has a 5 ft double bed with fully sprung mattress and cool cotton linen. An inner hall way with tea and coffee facilities, together with a small fridge (suitable for bottles of wine!) leads to a luxury bathroom. This offers a walk-in shower, bath, WC and twin sinks.Robes, bath and pool towels, are all provided. Breakfast is either served in your private dining room or on your own sunny terrace. There is a mirrored exercise room offering a bike and small weights, satellite TV and DVD player. Free fiber internet/ WiFi access is available throughout the accommodation and pool area. For your safety a smoke detector and fire extinguisher are fitted.
La Fleureau offers the perfect location for visiting towns such as Toulouse, Carcassone, Albi, Gaillac,and Cordes. The whole area is rich with historical interest and the undulating countryside of sunflowers and vineyards makes this the perfect spot for sightseeing and winetasting. The pretty bastide town of Lavaur is a 10 minute drive and the nearest town for shopping. It is particularly worth visiting on market days. There are many excellent restaurants in the area offering local produce and regional dishes such as duck and cassoulet. An 18 hole golf club is just 10 minutes away. The Tour de France passes through our area every year and is a spectacle not to be missed.
The accommodation is for adults only with the entire site at La Fleureau non- smoking.
The owners live in the main house together with a very laid back Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
