In quiet waterfront area with great views…..an excellent choice

By Amanda on 03-Jan-2025

Lovely cottage in quiet waterfront area with great views over the marina and to the Isle of Wight. Everything one needs for a self catering stay was thought of, and as we were staying over the Christmas week, festively decorated with gifts for us too. We walked everywhere, including nature reserve walk to Keyhaven which was beautiful. Delightful high street with independent shops and excellent restaurants bars and cafes and a little market on Saturdays. The New Forest on the doorstep for walking, pub lunches and Bucklers Hard and Beaulieu a good day out. All in all an excellent choice.

Blissful listening and watching boating life and ferry departures from the balcony

By Grace on 20-Oct-2024

It is always a delight to return to 2 Ropewalk Cottage. I love sitting on the balcony listening and watching boating life and ferry departures…A totally blissful atmosphere. Everything is arranged so seamlessly and accommodation is warm and welcoming. I love any season of the year to come and explore the area. Thank you for providing a haven to rest and relax in.

Very comfy bed, great communication

By Rachael on 10-Oct-2024

We had a lovely 3 night break at Ropewalk Cottage. The cottage is well equipped with everything you would find back home including a very comfortable bed. Very pleasing decor and modern and clean kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen and sitting room are on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the marina and we enjoyed sitting out in the morning sun watching the boats and IOW ferry. Convenient for walking the Solent Way and for dining at The Haven. A nice Sunday roast next door at The Mayflower pub too. Caroline and William are very helpful owners who were there to greet us and on departure. Great communication.

Immaculate Cottage

Beautifully presented and immaculate cottage - with everything you can think of - if you have forgotten something Caroline will have thought of it for you! Lovely and quiet location but within walking distance of everything! Would happily recommend.

Ideal holiday cottage

By Pete on 30-Aug-2024

The cottage is a clean, comfortable and well equipped property. It suited us perfectly as we were able to walk into town easily (no need to use the car too much). Plenty of choice for pubs, restaurants and shops. Excellent supermarkets should you want to eat in (M&S Food or Waitrose). The town is really full of character with its bustling Saturday market. The Recreation ground is close by, an ideal spot to watch the IoW ferry and other activities on the water. All in all, an ideal property that makes the most of its location.
