The mill overlooks trail PR1 in the sunniest and most desirable stretch of the 20 km Bonnette Valley, with views both long and wide.. Classed as an ''ecological zone'' it is populated by deer, red squirrel, heron, kingfishers, otters, colourful dragonflies + butterflies.

Leave ReviewMarvelous Holiday
By Fiona Jelfs on 17-Aug-2024This was our second visit to the Quercy region, the first one just one week, and with not enough time to take in the surroundings. The mill is 5 miles distant from where we first stayed, meaning we were able to visit the Lot Valley, as well as venture into the Massif Centrale. The extra week also allowed us to explore several lovely bastide towns, of which Cordes was our favourite. As for the house, it has been beautifully restored, a real work of art which enjoys a commanding position in lovely grounds, and with absolutely every convenience you could ask for. Outside, the fabulous overflow pool has been carefully blended into the landscape, with lots of space to take the sun, as well as shaded areas. This is a private and peaceful spot, yet not far from places of interest, and close to Caylus with a bakery that sells wonderful croissants. The house was immaculately clean, the beds are super-comfortable, and in the heat of summer the aircon proved to be a real boon. Despite the rural location there is a good choice of restaurants, some of them only minutes away, meaning we enjoyed a lot of fun evenings out. Steve and Sue who live nearby helped with information about exploring the area, but were not in any sense intrusive. Highly recommended.
IDEAL LOCATION
By Mrs. A. White on 13-Jul-2024The house provided plenty of comfort for the six of us, with the basement at times proving a great place for teenagers to do their own thing. The heated pool was a joy, where we spent many hours relaxing in the peace and quiet of the valley. This was the furthest south we've travelled in France, and the scenery came as a big surprise, with so many different landscapes to explore. All in all, we couldn't have had a better time, and look forward to returning some day.
Perfect Week
By A. Rollin on 12-Aug-2023Very much enjoyed staying here, and with the bonus of wonderful weather, regretted having to move on.
A Comfortable Stay In Lovely Surroundings
By Mark Allit on 15-Jul-2023Enjoyed a sunny week in this superbly converted water mill. The house is very well equipped, in particular the kitchen, which unusually was so well provisioned we chose to stay in and cook for ourselves. Highly recommended. Mark Allit
