We had a lovely 10 days, so peaceful. Petit Bernadis was very comfortable and modern. The pool area was a delight. Clare and Damon were on hand but not intrusive. We loved watching the deer, red squirrels and hawks as well as listening to the very industrious wood pecker.
Petit Bernadis is beautiful & well thought out gite perfect for couples. Inside is beautifully designed and has absolutely everything you could need. The bedroom is wonderfully dark at night and we slept like logs! Great outside space with a fantastic pool and lounging area. We didn’t have great weather so the undercover area was a real bonus. It was lovely to wake up, hear birds, watch the deer stroll across the drive and relax in the peacefulness of the fabulous location. Clare & Damon are exceptional hosts - so knowledgeable about the area and really helpful, especially when we needed to get a puncture sorted!
Everything about our week at Petit Bernadis was a delight. From the welcome we received on arrival, through to the final goodbye, everything was beautifully considered and graciously offered. The accommodation provided everything needed-beautifully decorated and attentively equipped. The outdoor space was something special; nestled between beautiful rolling countryside, it was incredibly peaceful with the sounds of nature as a backdrop-a wonderful place to spend lazy days by the pool. We walked beautiful trails, cycled through incredible countryside and visited picture postcard villages. Thank you Clare and Damon for sharing your beautiful home with us. It really has been one of the most amazing weeks.
The accommodation sleeps 2 adults in a lovely, well appointed, beautiful property. Spotlessly clean. Outside there is a seating area for breakfast, drinks and evening meals. A top class pool large with good quality loungers, chairs and a delightful covered area housing a large dining table and chairs. Lawned areas with many plants and shrubs. If you are lucky throughout the day and evening you may watch the wildlife passing by such as deers and their young. Clare and Damon were very friendly and informative about the property and local areas to visit. They were very obliging if we needed any help or assistance. Property is in a quiet location just a 20 minute walk from the most delightful hilltoptown of Montflanquin with its medieval buildings, bars and restaurants. Leave your mobile phones at home because this is truly a place to relax....WiFi can be unpredictable.
Petit Bernardis was so peaceful and comfortable. We were very lazy and didn’t do much exploring and also because it was so wonderful just chilling by the gorgeous pool. Our hosts Damon and Clare were very lovely and helpful and have thought of everything. We cannot recommend highly enough for a get away from it all holiday in the beautiful Dordogne yet within reach of restaurants and shops which are walkable.
Lovely well equipped gite. Great outside space with a fantastic pool and lounging area. Perfect for those wanting to relax on sunny summer days. Location ideal for exploring local region but also close enough to Monflanquin for evening meals and entertainment.
