Description
Farthing Green House is a large listed building in Loddon, a Norfolk village with easy access to the Norfolk Broads, the coast and the historic city of Norwich.
The building contains three newly created self-contained holiday apartments from which to choose - the Skylight Apartment (sleeps 5), the Directors Suite (sleeps 8) and The Old Bank (sleeps 2) each with their own entrance. The three apartments can be interlinked for larger groups.
The owners live in the West Wing and are on site to ensure that you have everything you need for a relaxing time.
The spacious holiday apartments provide a great self-catering base from which to explore the surrounds by foot, bicycle, motorcycle, car, public transport and river craft.
There are shops, pubs (most with food), Indian restaurant, cafes and takeaways within easy walking distance.
If you just want to have a relaxing time, there is large garden in which to enjoy the sunshine and, if you wish, a BBQ. There is also an on-site gym (with a personal trainer by prior arrangement) and a common room (complete with classic computer games).
The Skylight Apartment occupies the whole top floor of the main Georgian part of the building and many original features have been retained. Be warned that this means the bedrooms have low beams and low doorways so taller people need to be careful!
There are three bedrooms (two spacious double rooms and the oldest bedroom in the building for one lucky person). As the name suggests, the apartment is filled with natural light from five skylights - which is particularly noticeable in the large dining/living room. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is room to chat while preparing a favourite dish. There is also a study if you need to hide away to catch up on emails or attend an important video call. As there is one bathroom, the Skylight Apartment is particularly suited for a family enjoying time together.
Guests are welcome to use the gym and common room (on the ground floor).
